The season is so damn long it's almost impossible to hyped for a regualr season game. Empty seats everywhere, if it wasn't for TV money then the league would lose a half dozen teams at least.

Guys like Franco and Odubel Herrera are perfect fits for that city cuz they look grimey and smelley. Harper looks like he showers so bad fit there. No sense in being the best hitter and best smelling guy on the team in a college sized ball park.

As long as there are degenerate gamblers baseball will always be alive and well.

if 247 sports is believable they say harper going to the phillies
The Bryce Harper free agency saga is about to come to an end based on reports out of Vegas. The momentum started early Tuesday morning when Vegas Gambling Stream reported the pulling of Harper-related bets from the board because “Bryce Harper has agreed to multi year mega contract with Philadelphia Phillies, source says deal was wrapped up pending medicals”
A formal decision could be coming soon, and many think it will tie in with an MLB The Show announcement coming Tuesday. Harper is the cover athlete for this year’s version of the Major League Baseball video game.
The Phillies became the favorite to land Harper in January after a series of meetings in hometown Las Vegas.

I still have a tough time believing this until the ink is dry
1- Machado the better player
2- Wash offer just as good
3- Wash cannot lose this guy to division rival

Great deal if true. Harper becomes face of the franchise for the next 10 years. Fan base happy as a white blue collar player in the city. Jump on those OVER 86.5 win totals for Philly

Being one who’s a bit hair challenged I can’t fault him with his ability to take care of his hair
guy had a “down” year with a very under achieving team and still hit .249 with 34 & 100. Playing 81 games at CBP will greatly improve those numbers. I’m not a big fan of Machado or any Dominican players for that matter. They tend to get lazy when money is involved.
