    Sub-freezing temps Sunday at Gillette

    - LA has been playing every week since October bye
    - NE rested on bye week

    - LA has no cold weather victories
    - NE historically strong at home in playoffs
    - NE historically strong in cold weather

    - Foxborough MA weather Sunday forecast lows Thursday-Sunday
only 18,12,17,15 degrees. Sunday HIGH only 29.

This could be enough for me to consider the light line with NE.

LA beat KC in week 15, approx. 38 degrees. Does that count as cold?
LA beat Denver week 17 approx. 47 degrees, which is like summer.
A few 50+ degree games, too, but that's even more than summer-like.. that's near-equator type temps.

NE still has many stats in its favor.

Naw, doesn't count. Looked it up. That day was high 40s and didn't dip to 38/39 until late evening.
It's not the same thing as being in the teens for days, then merely getting to 29 as an expected high.

there are "sharps" on both sides, probably more on LA right now.. but remember...

Is the reverse true about what Dusty Baker said about Black/Brown players ?

Do they play less good in freezing weather ?

29 degrees without a lot of wind isn't that cold for this time of the year, weather should play a role but not a huge one.

"You have to pretend that you're a construction worker out there," Baker said before Saturday's game. "You have no choice. It's easier for me. It's easier for most Latin guys and it's easier for most minority people. Most of us come from heat."

"You don't find too many brothers from New Hampshire and Maine and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Right? We were brought over here for the heat, right? Isn't that history? Weren't we brought over here because we can take the heat?"

have to disagree. i live in NH and after 80's all summer and 70's all fall the first week it dips into the 40's it feels cold as heck. going from LA to 25 with wind chill will be very cold. it will feel very cold to the players how much it affects them who knows. but it is a slight advantage to the patriots

Winds are suppose to be very moderate on sunday, 10-15 mph, nowhere near the 15-20 expected earlier in the week.

20's is cold man. since there hasnt been much snow this year i run at the local track after the high school kids leave so its about 5:00 and its dark and mid 20's and its cold as fuk. couldnt imagine having to tackle somebody or catch a pass where i leave myself totally exposed. and ive been used to the cold for months. some of these charger players it will affect them. its an advantage for the patriots for sure but it doesnt mean they win for sure

it is true the players have heat gear now, all over their bodies and even warmers and heaters
on the sidelines, plus heated fields.. they are millenials, soyboys.

You are citing the low end temperatures for your arguments and not the real temperature at the game.

With practically no wind predicted for Sunday afternoon, it's a perfect weather for football and not freezing. It's not going to bother the Chargers one bit.

Almost 30 on Sunday is balmy for these guys. It has to be teens or single digits with below zero wind chill to have any affect on the game.

Agreed hard to breathe, you can get ice lung as well when really winded.

I start to get ruined if I go into 40 or below weather myself. I hate the cold. So Cal boy here born and raised.. Give me heat and warmth please
