    They gave the women's award to Serena Williams for losing 2 majors. Simona Halep actually won one and lost the finals of another major but the angle on Serena is that she did it after having a kid.

    These awards are a joke. If I was Lebron or Serena I wouldn't accept it. It's disrespectful to the people who beat them. Serena basically a bad role model for girls for disrespecting umpires and Lebron abandoned his hometown because Steph Curry and company destroyed him.

    They are making a mockery of the awards. My daughters are forbidden from watching Serena play tennis. I spent countless hours to teach them to respect the umpires and referees when they play softball and soccer and here she goes on national TV trying to destroy 10 years of parenting. And they reward her with an award for that childish, no disrepect to children, behavior.

    God forbid you give one of these humanitarian or athlete of year awards out to a white athlete that exceeded expectations and or give back to communities and participated in note worthy charities as that would probably be deemed racist..
