Foles probably does deserve it more.. Few come back players in different sports that deserve it more.. I could make a list..

Really shouldn't this have gone to the Humboldt Broncos for honory reasons or that college that won 16th seed vs 1 seed.

    Nadal 11th French open??

I have an issue with anyone who wants to dispute this. Tell me another athlete more deserving and I'll ponder your choice, but Lebron has always been that dude. Role model, Bball extrodinaire, NBA Icon, Winner. I'm actually getting a little fed up with all the anti-lebron rhetoric. Choice is a no-brainer imo.

Harden had a much better year. The crazy thing is Chris Jones is arguably man of the year and he did not even make the pro bowl. 15.5 sacks, a pick 6 and great against the run.

Yeah, Lebron award was weak. Serena award was even worse.

Understand that these sportswriters are not too sharp. They have a history of giving out stupid awards.

I'm telling you, there is a history of awards/honors going to wrong guy. A lot of people just don't know.

And the Serena one was worse. The AP's explanation focused on her returning as a Mum after a hard delivery and afterbirth and reaching the final in two Slams. I adore her and always have and this totally isn't her fault as she obviously doesn't choose the winner but a gazillion parents have faced that and return to work and kick arse. And that's with no help or maybe they're a single parent or they have a child or partner who needs a bit more care and/or attention. Most with nowhere near the money she has.

These awards are whoreshit. Take them for what they are

How about Drew Brees, stand up guy, true professional always, good guy, aging player and having one of his best years throwing the ball to date arguably. Saints expected to have a good playoff run now..

Lebron barely has this Laker team playing over .500 ball this year, racist rants, not league leading stats, etc.. Not that impressive..http://www.espn.com/nba/statistics

Look at this as a teaching opportunity. Let your daughters know that life isn't always fair. Especially in the very high areas of sport people are given awards based upon politics rather than merit.

Then you could tell the that it works that way sometimes in the workplace as well. Someone will get a job or a raise who isn't necessarily the best person for the job. Instead they are ass-kissers who get the job or maybe they get the job based upon their identity rather than talent.

Maybe not to you but it is to most when reading through the thread. Given their post history.
