The Colts will have almost no shot if they lose this week, so they will be max motivated to get a win here against the lowly New York Giants.
The Colts are 7-1 in their last eight games overall. More importantly, there has been nothing lucky about this run. In fact, the Colts have outgunned 10 of their last 11 opponents, which is the sign of an elite team. Their defense is playing off the charts right now, and Andrew Luck is moving the chains and putting points on the board. The Colts are outscoring opponents by 10.7 points per game at home this year.
The Giants are coming off a 17-0 loss to the Titans last week. They are done for at 5-9 and have nothing but pride to play for now. Officially eliminated from the postseason, the Giants probably won’t show up at all this week. Their offensive struggles are largely due to not having their best receiver in Odell Beckham Jr, who has been ruled out once again this week with a quad injury.
The Colts are 32-14-1 ATS in their last 47 games vs. a team with a losing record. The Giants are 4-10-2 ATS in their last 16 road games vs. a team with a winning home record. Look for the Colts to handle their business this week, just as they did last week in their 23-0 win over the Cowboys. This will be a similar result.
