    Marshall VS USF

    Anyone liking USF here? Marshall has best bowl winning percent but USF is jumping out at me. I'm sure I'll play it and lose like the Nothern Illinois game 2 days ago.

    Line moved earlier to Marshall -4 (now 4.5). Originally liked USF, but now it's: The TE coach is calling the plays, the QB is the emergency QB tonight, and they come in on a terrible losing streak. Very little to make me think they'll win, or even cover. Probably will take Marshall for the heck of it once I'm back in NJ and able to bet.


    So far:

    Georgia Southern -3 (loss, GAS won by 2)
    UAB ML to win (win, 37-10)
    Ohio -2.5 (win, 27-0)

    I'm going with USF. I haven't bet many of the bowls, but not a single dog has one yet. 7 straight. I'm going with gamblers fallacy and starting tonight on the underdog and doubling my bet every day I lose. Sooner or later an underdog will win.

    Wow, I Havnt paid any attention or bet a single bowl yet, every fav has won and covered huh? That pretty crazy, I thought typically dogs did well early on in bowl season.

    Either can be said. Obviously it sounds like a game fav didn’t cover the closing but guys who got in early did. No reason to argue it happens, that why getting best number matters and why I will often pass on a game if I missed that number.

    Ppl that know these teams better than me have said those conditions probably favor Marshall. I don’t have the slightest, Havnt watched either team once! Lol., the best case I’ve heard for USF is that playing Marshall will be class relief from teams they been losing to during their awful last month or so of season (believe I heard they on 5 game losing streak?).,

    Marshall is 23rd out of 130 teams in the FBS defensively FYI. 22 points per game allowed is not a lot in college football.

    On paper Marshall is the bet.
    No underdogs have won straight up yet, is what I meant. However, all the favorites have covered except Georgia Southern. But, they did win.
    Considering all the games lines were 1 score difference, that's pretty unlikely to have that many favorites win in a row. None the less, each game is independent of the other.
    However, I don't care, I'm not going to live thru a time when 100 favorites win in a row, so, I'm going to start betting the dogs. I'm perfectly happy with an L today and a W when the dog ML is 400+ :P
    Still, taking USF here and riding dogs til they win!

    The drives going into and coming out of half could have totally changed the game but they settled for 2 field goals.
