Other than a handful of games led by Conner, Ben's done so well running the show.. he'll just have to pass another 60 times with maybe another L.

THe Pitt O-Line is just so good, it doesnt really matter who is running the ball.

GOing into the year, folks thought how is Bell's production going to be duplicated.....well Connor duplicated pretty easily.

I’m starting Big Ben with confidence because of this news. I normally proceed with caution with him on the road but it’s against the Raiders and the Steelers will probably throw all day against them.

Heading down to Oakland for this game, should be a good one.

Stevan Ridley to run, jaylen Samuel's to catch. It's the raiders, this game is a wrap.

They are saving Conner for next week when the pats come to visit

Vegas didnt adjust the line at all after the news of COnnor sitting was released. Just shows that after a big season, Connor still isn't even worth a half a point.

any running back with blocking can gain 4 yards a carry. it should be the lowest paid position on any team outside of the kicker.

Dumb ass comment. The horse makes the jockey. The jockey don't make the horse.

the horse is the offensive linemen not the running back.

Maybe it didn't move because they know that Rapistberger will throw it relentlessly anyway.

He got what he wanted this year.. basically running the offense, throwing a ton... and barely clinging to the division. Great job, Ben.

Steelers didn't miss a beat when Bell left and they won't miss a beat now.

Cmon now. Conner been just fine but he ain’t no Bell. Bell catches 80+ passes a year and adds another dimension Steelers don’t currently have.

I dont think I'm all that out of line if you look at the numbers. In just 11.5 games, Connor has 909 yards rushing, 4.5 per carry and 12 TD's. He's also caught 52 balls out of the backfield, for 9.0 yards per reception. That's on pace to catch over 70 balls.

Last year, Bell averaged 4.0 yards per rush for 9 TD's.....and had 85 catches for 7.7 yards per catch and 2 TD's.

Without knowing names, I'd take the first player I listed. I only looked at last years numbers......Bell may have been more productive in 2013-2016.

Numbers wise it might be close, I just look at it like this, I think pats did a little dance when they found out they wouldn’t have to game plan for Bell. Then hunt gets suspended and you gotta think pats did another dance, again I’m sure kc still be good offensively but losing difference making backs just makes that team that much easier to defend imo.., I think pats starting to regress back to pack but lot of these teams who could potentially take them out in playoffs just not as good missing elite backs.

I see your point for sure, I'd rather gameplan for Connor then Bell myself. But Im a little shocked Vegas doesnt value Connor even a half a point compared to Ridley/Samuel. Just shows you how invaluable they see the Running Back position.

It def a plug and play position where unless you have one of the truely special guys (the gurleys, bells, Barkley’s, Zeke’s) of the world not a whole lot of difference. More about system and oline than the guy.
