It's a three horse race - who do you got?

    Oklahoma, Ohio State, or Georgia?

I would make the odds something like this:

    Oklahoma - 140
    Georgia +110
    Ohio State +220

From what I'm hearing, Georgia is gaining steam.

If Clemson wins then Georgia is out
There is no way that they will set up a rematch with Bama with a 2 loss Georgia
    Ain't gonna happen

They can always put Georgia in the three slot. Move Notre Dame down, punish them for not playing this weekend.

reward a team for losing and choking the game away by moving them up a spot brilliant

G, all this is setting up future of 8-team playoff:

    * 5 Conf Champs.
    * 1 play-in from mid-majors. Boise vs UCF this year.
    * 2 At Large teams. Geo + NotD this year.

You guys don't understand the game.

Who would be favored between Georgia and Notre Dame?

    Thank you.

    Discussion over.

    Not gonna happen
They were ranked behind ND to start this week
They sure won't jump them with that epic collapse
A 2 loss team jumps an undefeated team after a loss??

Don't get me wrong, they are probably just as good as ND but they had their chance today and blew it

Let's hope so. Although it could ruin the regular season. We shall see.

Notre Dame doesnt have a quality win in their resume. Georgia played Florida, South Carolina, LSU, Auburn, Kentucky and Alabama.

Notre Dame would probably be an underdog vs all these SEC teams.

Don't think it would ruin Regular Season. Always playing for seeds. For example, Alabama (today) would have been playing for Home Field in 1st round, altho they would know they are in top8.

I'm only reporting what I'm hearing from my INSIDE SOURCES.

    Georgia is gaining steam.

Please don't question my INSIDE SOURCES, Maggie. That would be a very bad decision on your behalf.

It's true but it just doesn't work that way
It would be hard enough to get rid of an undefeated ND with a 1 loss team, but never a 2 loss team, no matter who the 2 loss team played

Listen, Georgia could possibly be as good as 3 of the 4 teams if they played tomorrow, but they have nobody to blame but themselves
You can't lose 2 games, no matter who it was against and then complain about not getting in
Add that to the fact they gagged their brains out today and they are flat lined at this point

It is a one-horse race, Oklahoma is the 4-seed.

Notre Dame should not be scheduling the easiest schedule in the country so they can get in the playoff. What they did this year is criminal.

Georgia is out with two losses and Ohio State needed to blow out Northwestern to have any chance. Oklahoma SHOULD have spot locked up.

If they were going to hold ND accountable for their schedule and no CC game, they would do it before it reached this point, not the last vote of the season

I learned from past selections is they choose who they think is the best 4 teams. If that’s the case, Georgia is unquestionably a top 4 team. For the person who keeps repeating Georgia has 2 loss, losing 7 to Bama is more impressive than 99.99 percent of wins accumulated by these other teams. If record is the end all be all, UCf should be in the playoffs. They haven’t lost in 2 years.

Personally, I don't think Georgia has much of a chance, but I was almost wrong about something one time, so who knows

One-loss Power 5 Conference champ trumps two-loss non-champion. UCF is not part of the conversation, as long as Playoff is 4 teams, no non-Power 5 school will ever get in.

And for the record, I actually think Georgia is one of the three best teams in the country, but sadly that is beside the point. They were in great position to clinch a spot today and could not finish the deal.

Who knows, Maggie? It just depends whether they go by the better team or the more deserving team.

Georgia is better than Oklahoma, but Oklahoma might have a better resume. I'm not sure how they determine these things.

I think it’s down to OU and Georgia now.

If committees job is to put the 4 best teams in, hard to say Georgia isn’t one of them.

If you’re doing most deserving or want conference titles then what the committee is looking for is a moving target

I also wouldn’t be surprised if OU or Georgia move to 3 and ND moves down to 4

who would you rather play if you were Alabama?

I can tell you this for sure, there is no way that they will put Georgia at 4 with Bama at 1 for a rematch

    That is not fair
Georgia had their chance and gagged their brains out
    Now it's someone else's chance

It is painfully obvious that Georgia cannot beat Alabama

I have to agree. If osu could of beat n western by 40 we would have a discussion. But no way in hell they jump oklahoma. Although if the qb from alabama is hurt I'm not sure that clemson doesn't jump them. Sort of like uc losing kenyon martin. If he is out i think clemson is a lock.
