    Early season NCAA BBall can be one of the most profitable times of the entire sports year. Books still providing lots of time and energy towards establishing sharp football lines. You can find a lot of extremely valuable numbers in early season action w/ non-con scheduling. You are correct, you should limit your plays to a reasonable number, but if you know your stuff and did your homework in the off-season, this is actually the time to strike while the proverbially iron is hot!
