Will we see an NBA team score 200 points?

What do you guys think. It’s definitely not out of the question. May not get 200 but we should see some teams get close.

Maybe in 4 or 5 OT games.

We’ve already seen a team score 149. Now just add in a couple overtimes and we could get there. If you don’t think 200, then what will be the highest this season? The record for scoring in one game is 186, I think there is a great chance that is broken soon. No one plays defense in this league.

Obviously depends on OTs. Literally speaking though, we have seen a team score 149 points in regulation, we have seen a quadruple overtime game a couple years ago, mix those together and it tells you 200 points is certainly not "impossible". It's unlikely though, would have to be a perfect storm.

The Kings will be the team to give up 200.

Better question is do we see a FBS team hang 100 or NBA team hit 200 going forward?

That is what I’m thinking. We have basically seen a team score 150, if we can get a few OT’s then it is possible. Don’t count out GS, if they are hitting 3s they can put up points quick.

I played on a team back in 1989 that gave up 95 pts to University of Houston. That was not fun.

I'm just glad we're not seeing the low scoring games of the 90s anymore. The Jazz scoring 56 points in an NBA Finals game was brutal.

    I think we'll see a 163-142 score before season's end.

Don't think GS are a good candidate tbh, someone would have to push them for 63-68 mins.

A Nuggets/Pelicans type game could work, 2 high scoring teams that are well matched.

Golden State scored 144 points in regulation tonight and Steph Curry sat out the 4th quarter. Would have been interesting if the Wizards kept it close.

GS sits their regulars in the fourth if the lead is double digits.

As do just about every team in the league.

Will never happen barring 3 or 4 overtimes. If a team somehow has 150 in the 3rd quarter chances are they're winning by 20+, they aren't going to be pushing it in the 4th.

I think the max we could see in regulation with this new NBA is 165
