NFL Player News - Week 8

    Courtesy of Footballguys.com

OAK - RB Marshawn Lynch placed on Injured Reserve

    Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates

Oakland Raiders RB Marshawn Lynch (groin) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list Monday, Oct. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This move shows the injury was a little more severe than originally thought. Lynch may have surgery to repair the damage. He's eligible to return for the Raiders after eight weeks out of action. The Raiders are already tanking on the season, so Lynch may have played his final game with Oakland. The team moves forward with Doug Martin as their lead back and Jalen Richard should get some more work as a change-of-pace option.

DAL - WR Amari Cooper heading to Dallas

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Oakland Raiders WR Amari Cooper is being acquired by the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a first-round draft pick, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cooper has a ton of talent but injuries and inconsistencies have plagued his game over the last two years. Perhaps a change of scenery will help. The Cowboys have been devoid of WR talent this year and get a huge boost for the passing game with the addition of Cooper. The team might want to restructure his deal and get an extension done as Cooper is under their control through the 2019 season.

NE - RB Sony Michel injury update

    Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots RB Sony Michel (knee) will be considered week-to-week after an MRI on Monday, Oct. 22, revealed no structural damage, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We get good news on Michel as previous reports had indicated. Michel may miss time due to this injury but he might return sooner than originally thought. In the meantime, the Patriots should turn to James White in Michel's absence. We'll see if they make a move at the position while Michel is out.

PIT - Le'Veon Bell will not report this week

    Source: NFL.com - Jim Trotter

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell will not report to the team this week, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Reports indicated he would report last week when the Steelers were on bye and he didn't. The speculation then was that he would be back at the facility on Monday...and that's not the case. Bell could hold out as long as possible, and that puts him out of action through Week 10. At that point, he'll need to report in order to earn an accrued season and hit free agency in 2019.

JAX - QB Blake Bortles will start

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles will return as starting quarterback in Week 8, according to head coach Doug Marrone.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Here we go Jacksonville....again. Marrone said he believes Bortles gives the Jaguars the best chance to win. They paid the man this offseason to be their starter and now they'll roll forward with him through his struggles. The team could have a short hook for Bortles this week as they play the Eagles in London.

NE - TE Rob Gronkowski could be ready for Week 8

Source: NFL Network - Mike Giardi

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (back) was sidelined in Week 7 after experiencing back spasms Friday, Oct. 19 - a problem team doctors spent 'a considerable amount of time' trying to alleviate over the weekend. According to a team source, the problem is expected to be a 'short-term thing' and there is hope he will be able to play in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Keep an eye on Gronkowski's status during the week of practice. We have a feeling that he will miss time on Wednesday and be limited the rest of the week with an idea that he'll play in Week 8. Stay tuned.

DAL - WR Brice Butler let go

Source: NFL Network - Jane Slater

Dallas Cowboys WR Brice Butler was released Monday, Oct. 22, to make room for WR Amari Cooper.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

They had to make room for Cooper and Butler was the last in line. Cooper now takes over as the lead WR for the Cowboys and should become the centerpiece of their passing attack when he's up to speed in the offense.

MIA - Full practice for QB Brock Osweiler

Source: The Miami Herald - Armando Salguero

Miami Dolphins QB Brock Osweiler (back) fully participated in practice Monday, Oct. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ryan Tannehill has been declared out for Week 8 against the Texans on Thursday night. That makes Osweiler the starter for the third straight game. There is no timetable for Tannehill's return.

MIA - WR Jakeem Grant takes part in practice

Source: The Miami Herald - Armando Salguero

Miami Dolphins WR Jakeem Grant (Achilles') fully participated in practice Monday, Oct. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Grant is going to have to do more with the Dolphins having such a banged up WR corps. Albert Wilson (hip) and Kenny Stills (groin) are both out for Week 8, so that makes Grant a starter on the outside opposite DeVante Parker. We'll see plenty of Danny Amendola from the slot.

MIA - WR Danny Amendola limited Monday

Source: The Miami Herald - Armando Salguero

Miami Dolphins WR Danny Amendola (shoulder) was limited during practice Monday, Oct. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

They'll monitor Amendola closely during this short week. He should get plenty of targets on Thursday against the Texans. Fantasy GMs should consider Amendola a flex option in Week 8.

JAX - RB Jamaal Charles released

    Source: Jaguars.com

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Jamaal Charles was released Monday, Oct. 22. LB Nick DeLuca was promoted to the active roster from the practice squad in a corresponding move.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That didn't last long. Charles was just picked up by the Jaguars a couple of weeks ago. He didn't do much in two games (six carries for seven yards) with the team and now finds himself back as a street free agent. The Jaguars move forward with the newly acquired Carlos Hyde and T.J. Yeldon...that is until Leonard Fournette can come back from his lingering hamstring injury.

BUF - QB Derek Anderson starting again

    Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Charean Williams

Buffalo Bills QB Derek Anderson will make his second consecutive start in Week 8 as QB Josh Allen (elbow) remains sidelined, according to head coach Sean McDermott.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Anderson didn't do much as the starter in Week 7 but the other choice is Nathan Peterman...so here we go again with Anderson as the starter. Fantasy GMs have much better options at the quarterback position.

SF - QB Tom Savage back with 49ers

    Source: ProFootballTalk.com

Free-agent QB Tom Savage (49ers) was re-signed to an undisclosed deal by the San Francisco 49ers Monday, Oct. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That move was expected when they let him go a few days ago. Savage is their veteran backup plan behind starter C.J. Beathard and his backup Nick Mullens.

MIA - WR DeVante Parker primed to play

Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (quadriceps) is expected to play in Week 8, according to head coach Adam Gase.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Parker is supposedly on the trade block but the Dolphins can't really afford to get rid of him just yet. They are down both Kenny Stills (groin) and Albert Wilson (hip) in Week 8. That makes Parker a starter on the outside opposite of Jakeem Grant.

MIA - WR Albert Wilson going to IR?

Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero

Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson (hip) has a 'high probability' of going on the Reserve/Injured list, according to head coach Adam Gase.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That move would put the veteran receiver out of action for a minimum of eight weeks. Wilson suffered a labrum injury in Week 7 and will visit a specialist, as noted earlier.

MIA - WR Kenny Stills ruled out for Week 8

    Source: ESPN.com - Cameron Wolfe

Updating a previous report, Miami Dolphins WR Kenny Stills (groin) will not play in Week 8 versus the Houston Texans and could miss more games due to the grain injury he suffered in Week 7 against the Detroit Lions.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's a short week for the Dolphins as they play on Thursday night...and they're going to be really shorthanded at the position with Stills (groin) and Albert Wilson (hip) out of action.

ARI - QB Josh Rosen sits out practice Monday

    Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Arizona Cardinals QB Josh Rosen (toe) did not practice Monday, Oct. 22.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Cardinals are at home against the 49ers on Sunday. Earlier reports indicated that Rosen's toe problem was not a major issue. We'll see if he can practice later in the week.

NE - Confidence growing in WR Josh Gordon

    Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss

New England Patriots WR Josh Gordon is reportedly doing what he needs to do in order to gain the trust of Tom Brady, as the latter praised the former during a radio interview Monday, Oct. 22.'I think our confidence (in Gordon) is growing and growing and growing ... I'm excited to see where we're going,' Brady told the Kirk & Callahan radio show.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Brady is trusting Gordon and the team is trusting him to play more snaps each week. We saw that trust come to fruition on Sunday against the Bears as Gordon recorded his first 100-yard game with the Patriots. Fantasy GMs should start moving him up the cheatsheets. So long as he's earned the trust of Brady, Gordon is worth starting as a flex with WR2...or even WR1...upside.

CAR - WR Torrey Smith has knee issue

    Source: Panthers.com - Max Henson

Carolina Panthers WR Torrey Smith (knee) will be checked out Monday, Oct. 22, after his knee swelled up from a hard hit.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Smith has provided some veteran punch to the Panthers WR corps. He's caught nine passes over the last two weeks and Smith is a reliable target for QB Cam Newton on occasion. Smith's injury is not believed to be structural, according to head coach Ron Rivera.

BUF - RB LeSean McCoy in concussion protocol

    Source: ESPN.com - Mike Rodak

Updating previous reports, Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (head) has been placed in the NFL's concussion protocol after suffering a head injury during the team's loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, Oct. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McCoy took a big hit against the Colts and looked to injure his leg or ankle on the play. It ended up that he was concussed. In the protocol now, McCoy will have to be cleared before he gets back to practice. Chris Ivory would be the lead back for the Bills if McCoy has to miss time.

CIN - WR John Ross aggravates groin injury

Source: The Cincinnati Enquirer - Paul Dehner Jr.

Cincinnati Bengals WR John Ross (groin) departed early in Week 7 versus the Kansas City Chiefs due to a groin injury and did not return.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ross has great speed but we hardly ever get to see it because he seems to be banged up nearly every time you turn around. The Bengals have Tyler Boyd as their second threat in the passing game opposite A.J. Green. We'll see how long this groin injury keeps Ross out, but the team has been fine without him for most of his year-and-a-half pro career.

    Wednesday Update

DEN - QB Chad Kelly facing release?

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos QB Chad Kelly could be released following his arrest after meeting with general manager John Elway. All options are on the table, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

There were reports swirling that the Broncos were close to moving on from Case Keenum and now that is not going to be the case. Kelly had been staying out of trouble but he fell in the draft a couple of years ago due to off field concerns. The league is investigating this matter as Kelly was arrested on early Tuesday morning for first degree criminal trespassing.

NYG - QB Eli Manning won't be traded

Source: The Athletic - Dan Duggan

New York Giants QB Eli Manning will continue to man the Giants at quarterback with the trade deadline a week away, according to head coach Pat Shurmur.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Manning has not been playing well this season but the team won't trade him and may not bench him in 2018. Fantasy GMs should continue to view Manning as a low-end QB2 each week.

CIN - WR John Ross will miss more time

Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo

Cincinnati Bengals WR John Ross (groin) is expected to be out a few more weeks after aggravating his groin injury in Week 7, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's actually news when Ross is available to play. A first-round pick last year (taken one pick before Patrick Mahomes...ouch), Ross has missed more games than he's played in. He's played eight games in about a season and a half.

TEN - QB Paxton Lynch, TE Ben Koyack hosted by Titans

Source: Sirius XM NFL Radio - Adam Caplan

Free-agents QB Paxton Lynch (Broncos) and TE Ben Koyack (Jaguars) worked out for the Tennessee Titans Tuesday, Oct. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lynch has yet to be signed after being released from the Broncos in early September. Quite a few teams have worked him out, yet nobody has taken a chance on the 2016 first-round pick. The Titans are updating their emergency list...and for good reason as Blaine Gabbert is the primary backup to starter Marcus Mariota.

MIA - No surgery for WR Albert Wilson

    Source: ProFootballTalk.com

Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson (hip) won't need surgery on his injured hip, but he is expected to be placed on the Reserve/Injured list.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good news for Wilson but he's still going to miss plenty of time. On Injured Reserve, Wilson would have to miss at least eight weeks of action. At the midway point of the season, that means the Dolphins would likely be without him for the remainder of 2018. They'll turn to more of Danny Amendola, Jakeem Grant and DeVante Parker (unless/until he's traded) while Wilson is out.

DAL - Two Cowboys have knee sprains

Source: The Dallas Morning News - Brandon George

Dallas Cowboys TE Geoff Swaim (knee) and OG Zack Martin (knee) were diagnosed with sprained medial collateral ligaments. A timetable for their recovery was not disclosed.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With Swaim banged up, the team turns to Blake Jarwin and Rico Gathers at the tight end position. Neither one is an exciting option (not like Swaim was either) for Fantasy GMs.

PHI - RB Donnel Pumphrey signs with Eagles

Source: Sirius XM NFL Radio - Adam Caplan

Free-agent RB Donnel Pumphrey (Eagles) signed with the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad Thursday, Oct. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Pumphrey is back with the Eagles but on their practice squad this time. A fourth-round pick out of San Diego State in the 2017 NFL draft, Pumphrey missed his rookie season due to a hamstring injury. He failed to make the 53-man roster this year and was released. The Lions picked him up on their practice squad in September but he only lasted a few weeks there.

NYJ - WR Rishard Matthews signs with Jets

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Free-agent WR Rishard Matthews (Titans) agreed to an undisclosed deal with the New York Jets Tuesday, Oct. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Jets needed some help at the WR position with Quincy Enunwa banged up and Terrelle Pryor released. Matthews didn't think he would sign with a team this year but the Jets get the deal done. He'll take some time to get used to the offense so don't expect a lot from him at this point.

GB - WR Geronimo Allison returns to practice

Source: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel - Jim Owczarski

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (hamstring) returned to practice Tuesday, Oct. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With Randall Cobb back at practice as well, Allison could get bumped down the pecking order. He's likely to be the no.3 WR against the Rams on Sunday.

GB - WR Randall Cobb back at practice

Source: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel - Jim Owczarski

Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb (hamstring) returned to practice Tuesday, Oct. 23.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cobb had time to get healthy during the team's bye last week. They'll need him at his best as the Packers face the Rams on Sunday.

NYG - WR Odell Beckham makes history

    Source: NFL Research

Updating a previous report, New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. exceeded 5,000 receiving yards for his career in the team's Week 7 loss Monday, Oct. 22. He reached that plateau in fewer games (54) than any player since the 1970 merger, surpassing Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones, who accomplished the feat in 56 games.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Giants passing game has been down this year, but Beckham is still getting it done at a high level. On Monday against the Falcons, Beckham had eight catches for 143 yards and one touchdown. It was his fourth 100-yard game of the season and there should be many more to come.

JAX - QB Cody Kessler to practice with starters

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Cody Kessler will get some practice time with the first-team offense ahead of the team's Week 8 matchup on Sunday, Oct. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Blake Bortles is still the starter for now. If he struggles again then Kessler would take over again like he did last week...but this time around he'd have worked with the first-team offense during the week of practice.

    Thursday Update

MIN - RB Dalvin Cook to return after bye week?

    Source: ESPN.com - Courtney Cronin

Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook (hamstring) is expected to miss the Vikings' next two games with the hope that he will be healthy enough to return following a Week 10 bye.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cook's hamstring has been a problem for him in 2018. While he's been out, Latavius Murray has taken over as the lead back and he's posting RB1 numbers for Fantasy GMs. That should continue to be the case going forward until Cook returns to the lineup...hopefully after the bye.

DEN - QB Chad Kelly released

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Denver Broncos QB Chad Kelly was released Wednesday, Oct. 24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kelly was arrested on felony criminal trespass charges on Tuesday morning and finds himself out of a job a day later. The Broncos now move forward with Kevin Hogan as the primary backup to Case Keenum.

NYJ - RB Bilal Powell's career in jeopardy

    Source: SNY - Ralph Vacchiano

Updating a previous report, New York Jets RB Bilal Powell (neck) will have surgery on his injured neck.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The injury will not only end Powell's season, but could threaten his career, according to head coach Todd Bowles. Neck injuries have ended the careers of great players in NFL history like Eric Dickerson or Sterling Sharpe. They are tricky to deal with and difficult to come back from. We're hoping Powell can get back to full strength but it will be a long journey back to the football field if at all possible.

MIA - WR Albert Wilson placed on IR

Source: NFL Network - Andrew Siciliano

Miami Dolphins WR Albert Wilson (hip) was officially placed on the Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Oct. 24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Wilson is now done for the season as the Dolphins have already designated two players to return from IR. Signed through 2020, Wilson doesn't need surgery to repair his hip and should be ready for action at some point next offseason.

NE - TE Rob Gronkowski not at practice

Source: NFL Network - Mike Giardi

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (back) was held out of practice Wednesday, Oct .24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gronkowski missed the Patriots Week 7 game against the Bears but he should be back this week. The Patriots travel to play the Bills on Monday night in Week 8, and they'll release an official injury report tomorrow. Make sure Gronkowski can practice on Saturday (hopefully fully) before plugging him into your lineup.

OAK - RB Marshawn Lynch had surgery

    Source: ESPN - Jordan Schultz

Updating previous reports, Oakland Raiders RB Marshawn Lynch (groin) had surgery Thursday, Oct. 18, to repair his groin injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We may not see Lynch play again...for the Raiders or in the NFL. He's hopeful to return this season and would eligible to return from the Reserve/Injured list in Week 16.

JAX - RB Leonard Fournette out of practice

Source: The Athletic - Daniel Popper

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) is out of practice Wednesday, Oct. 24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Jaguars are off in Week 9. That means they could have Fournette ready for action in Week 10 against the Colts. We'll see him out until that week of practice.

PIT - Le'Veon Bell still absent

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell remains absent from meetings Wednesday, Oct. 24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bell doesn't appear to be showing up this week either. Reports indicated he would report during the team's bye...and he didn't. Then reports speculated he would show up this week...and he hasn't. At this point, it just seems like he's going to hold out through Week 10 and show up when he has to. Anything earlier than that would just be a bonus.

GB - QB Aaron Rodgers practices in full

    Source: Packers.com

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (knee) took part in a full practice session Wednesday, Oct. 24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rodgers wants to play without his knee brace this week. We'll see if he can do that on the road against the Rams in Week 8.

IND - TE Jack Doyle officially limited

    Source: Colts.com

Updating a previous report, Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Doyle should be able to return to action for the first time since Week 2. The Colts travel to play the Raiders in Week 8 and if Doyle plays it could negatively impact the fantasy value of Eric Ebron.

GB - TE Jimmy Graham has limited practice

    Source: Packers.com

Green Bay Packers TE Jimmy Graham (knee) took part in a limited practice session Wednesday, Oct. 24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Make sure Graham progresses well over the week of practice. It's a tough matchup against the Rams this week but he's of course still a TE1 for Fantasy GMs.

GB - WR Randall Cobb limited by hamstring

    Source: Packers.com

Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb (hamstring) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Oct. 24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cobb should be back for the Packers coming off the bye. His return should mean that he's the no.2 WR for the Packers with Geronimo Allison (also dealing with a hamstring injury) as the team's third option at the position.

GB - WR Geronimo Allison limited in practice

    Source: Packers.com

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (hamstring) was limited in practice Wednesday, Oct. 24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Allison should be back in action for the Packers after their bye last week. We'll see if he can practice fully later in the week, and if he does then Allison should be the no.3 WR for the Packers with Randall Cobb also slated to return from his hamstring injury.

NYJ - RB Isaiah Crowell takes part in practice

    Source: NewYorkJets.com

New York Jets RB Isaiah Crowell (foot) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Oct. 24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A good sign for Crowell to fully practice on Wednesday. With Bilal Powell on IR due to a neck injury, the Jets will turn to Crowell more than ever. That also makes Trenton Cannon their change-of-pace back behind Crowell.

NYJ - WR Quincy Enunwa misses practice

    Source: NewYorkJets.com

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (ankle) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We're unlikely to see Enunwa back in action this week. He has been targeting a return in Week 9.

HOU - RB Lamar Miller ready to face old mates

    Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans RB Lamar Miller (chest) practiced in full Wednesday, Oct. 24 and he was lifted from the injury report ahead of the Week 8 game with the Miami Dolphins, his former team, on Thursday, Oct. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Miller has RB2 with upside potential against the Dolphins this week. Miami is 29th against the run and giving up an average of 136.7 rushing yards per game after seven games.

HOU - WR Will Fuller off the injury report

    Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (hip) took part in a full practice session Wednesday, Oct. 24 and he was removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 9 game with the Miami Dolphins on Thursday, Oct. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Great news for Fuller here. With Keke Coutee (hamstring) out for the game against the Dolphins on Thursday, we should see Fuller perform like a WR2 with upside in Week 8.

DEN - WR Demaryius Thomas able to go full

    Source: DenverBroncos.com

Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas (wrist) took part in a full practice session Wednesday, Oct. 24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Reports now indicate that Thomas is not going to be traded before next Tuesday's trade deadline. The Broncos need Thomas to come through in a big way as they're facing the high-powered Chiefs offense on Sunday. Thomas is a low-end WR2 or flex play for Fantasy GMs in Week 8.

DET - WR Golden Tate logs limited practice

    Source: ESPN.com - Michael Rothstein

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate (ankle) practiced on a limited basis Wednesday, Oct. 24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Tate is getting a bit of rest here with this limited status. He should go against Seattle on Sunday and Fantasy GMs know he's a WR2 (even with the Lions running more) in PPR leagues.

PHI - QB Carson Wentz limited in practice

    Source: PhiladelphiaEagles.com

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (back) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Oct. 24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Wentz should be a full participant later in the week. Against the Jaguars this week (on the road to boot) we can only recommend him as a QB2 for Fantasy GMs.

MIA - QB Brock Osweiler ready for Houston

    Source: MiamiDolphins.com

Miami Dolphins QB Brock Osweiler (back) practiced in full for a third straight day Wednesday, Oct. 24 and he was lifted from the injury report ahead of the Week 8 game with the Houston Texans on Thursday, Oct. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's a revenge game for Osweiler. The Texans signed him as a free agent a couple of years ago but basically paid the Browns to take him off their hands after only one season of starting. Now he's back to get the Dolphins back on the winning track after dropping their game against the Lions this past Sunday.

MIA - RB Kenyan Drake practices in full

    Source: MiamiDolphins.com

Miami Dolphins RB Kenyan Drake (shoulder) was added to the practice report with a shoulder injury Wednesday, Oct. 24, but he practiced in full and was lifted from the report ahead of the Week 8 game with the Houston Texans on Thursday, Oct. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Drake needs more work because of his big play ability anytime he touches the ball. With his current role (splitting time with Frank Gore), Fantasy GMs can only trust Drake as a RB2 or flex option in PPR leagues.

TB - RB Peyton Barber no go Wednesday

Source: The Athletic - Greg Auman

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Peyton Barber (ankle) was off the practice field Wednesday, Oct. 24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Keep an eye on Barber's status now that we know he's dealing with an ankle injury. If Barber doesn't play in Week 8 then that would mean rookie Ronald Jones would be the Buccaneers lead back.

BAL - WR Michael Crabtree, WR John Brown don't practice

    Source: BaltimoreRavens.com

Baltimore Ravens WRs Michael Crabtree (non-injury related) and John Brown (non-injury related) did not practice Wednesday, Oct. 24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Just a day of rest for the veteran duo...nothing to see here.

CLE - TE David Njoku logs limited practice

Source: The Chronicle-Telegram - Scott Petrak

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (knee) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Oct. 24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Keep an eye on this situation although it should be a minor injury. Njoku is a TE1 against the Steelers in Week 8.

CAR - Limited practice for TE Greg Olsen

    Source: Panthers.com

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) was limited in practice Wednesday, Oct. 24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Olsen's foot injury is likely to keep him limited all season long. He should be able to practice fully later in the week and play on Sunday against the Ravens.

CAR - QB Cam Newton has limited practice

    Source: Panthers.com

Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton (shoulder) was limited in practice Wednesday, Oct. 24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Newton should be okay but make sure to check back on his practice status later in the week just in case. This is a sore throwing shoulder and seen as a minor ailment.

DEN - RB Royce Freeman not practicing

    Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos RB Royce Freeman (ankle) did not practice Wednesday, Oct. 24, as he deals with a high-ankle sprain.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A high-ankle sprain suffered a week ago (Broncos played on Thursday night in Week 7) is unlikely to be healthy in this short of time. Freeman may not be available for the Broncos game on the road against the Chiefs in Week 8. That would lead to a larger role for Devontae Booker. Phillip Lindsay is the lead back but the team should monitor his touches so as not to wear him down over the course of the season.

NE - RB Sony Michel doesn't practice

Source: NFL Network - Mike Giardi

New England Patriots RB Sony Michel (knee) missed practice Wednesday, Oct. 24.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Patriots travel to play the Bills on Monday night but we don't think Michel is going to be playing. That means more of James White and Kenjon Barner in the Pats backfield. White could post RB1 numbers for Fantasy GMs and Barner could be a 'what the heck' flex in Week 8. Michel is considered week-to-week with this injury.

I'm hoping that Joey Bosa will be back after the bye week. That would obviously be a huge boost for the Chargers.

    Friday Update

ARI - RB David Johnson to be featured more?

    Source: AZCardinals.com - Kyle Odegard

Arizona Cardinals RB David Johnson's role in retired head coach Bruce Arians' offense is something offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich said that he would like to duplicate.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy GMs with David Johnson on the roster have their fingers crossed.

IND - RB Marlon Mack downgraded

Source: The Herald Bulletin - George Bremer

Indianapolis Colts RB Marlon Mack (ankle) was not able to practice Thursday, Oct. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Downgrades on Thursday are not a good sign. Mack may be getting some extra rest and make sure to check on his Friday status. If Mack plays against the Raiders then he's got RB1 upside for Fantasy GMs. If he can't play, the Colts would use multiple backs to replace him.

ARI - QB Josh Rosen fully practices Thursday

    Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Arizona Cardinals QB Josh Rosen (toe) got in a full practice Thursday, Oct. 25, one day after he was a limited participant.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rosen injured his toe last Thursday night against the Broncos. He's fine a week later and will start for the Cardinals this week.

WAS - RB Chris Thompson a limited participant

    Source: NFLCommunications.com

Washington Redskins RB Chris Thompson (knee, rib) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll see if Thompson can get back on the field for Washington. The team has used Kapri Bibbs as the change-of-pace back while Thompson has been banged up.

CHI - WR Allen Robinson does not practice

    Source: NFLCommunications.com

Chicago Bears WR Allen Robinson (groin) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Robinson may not be able to play in Week 8 against the Jets. We'll know more about his status on Friday. If he doesn't play then that could lead to a larger role for TE Trey Burton, RB Tarik Cohen and WR Taylor Gabriel.

DEN - RB Royce Freeman sits again

    Source: NFLCommunications.com

Denver Broncos RB Royce Freeman (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Oct. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We don't think Freeman is going to play on Sunday against the Chiefs. That leads to Phillip Lindsay taking on a larger role and he's worth considering as a RB2 in Week 8. Devontae Booker should do more without Freeman and perhaps enough to be considered as a deep flex play in PPR leagues.

DET - WR Golden Tate takes part in practice

    Source: DetroitLions.com

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Tate is going up against his former team (Seattle) on Sunday. We like him as a WR2 or flex play in Week 8.

GB - WR Randall Cobb listed as limited

    Source: Packers.com

Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cobb should be back in action for the Packers this week. Against the Rams in Week 8, Cobb could perform like a deep flex play for Fantasy GMs.

GB - WR Geronimo Allison limited

    Source: Packers.com

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Allison should be playing this week against the Rams. He's the no.3 WR for the Packers in Week 8 with Randall Cobb (hamstring) also expected to play.

GB - QB Aaron Rodgers takes part in practice

    Source: Packers.com

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rodgers has a tough game this week against the Rams...but he's still a QB1 for Fantasy GMs. We'll see if he can play without a knee brace (something he's been wanting to do) this week.

TB - RB Peyton Barber listed as limited

    Source: Buccaneers.com - Carmen Vitali

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Peyton Barber (ankle) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Don't get too excited about Ronald Jones just yet. The rookie from USC could be the lead back for the Bucs if Barber is out. It looks like Barber might be available, negatively impacting both running backs.

CLE - TE David Njoku remains limited

    Source: ClevelandBrowns.com

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku (knee) put in a limited practice Thursday, Oct. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Watch to see if Njoku can participate fully on Friday. Against the Steelers in Week 8, Njoku is a favorite target of QB Baker Mayfield and a TE1 for Fantasy GMs.

NE - TE Rob Gronkowski limited

    Source: Patriots.com

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) was limited in practice Thursday, Oct. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy GMs are wishing for more clarity here...although it does seem like Gronkowski will be back in action this week. The complication arises because Gronkowski is not a sure thing...and the Patriots play on Monday night against the Bills. Have a reserve option just in case.

NE - WR Josh Gordon has limited practice

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots WR Josh Gordon (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Oct. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Check on Friday to see if Gordon can practice fully on Friday. Gordon has been getting more and more involved with the Patriots offense. He's earned the trust of QB Tom Brady and he's a QB2 or flex play for Fantasy GMs in Week 8.

PHI - QB Carson Wentz takes part in practice

Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane

Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz (back) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Eagles are on the road this week against the Jaguars. Wentz is a QB2 for Fantasy GMs this week because of the matchup.

IND - TE Jack Doyle limited again

    Source: Colts.com

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) was limited during practice Thursday, Oct. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Doyle could be back this week for the Colts. If he does get on the field against the Raiders in Week 8, Doyle's presence would negatively impact Eric Ebron. That being said, the tight end position is so brutal this year and Ebron is still a TE1 for Fantasy GMs even if Doyle does cut into his playing time.

NYJ - WR Quincy Enunwa will not play

Source: New York Daily News - Manish Mehta

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (ankle) will not be able to play in the Week 8 game, according to head coach Todd Bowles.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Nobody should have been expecting Enunwa to play this week. The Jets will turn to more of Robby Anderson and Jermaine Kearse. We'll see if new addition Rishard Matthews gets some more work than originally expected in his first game with the team.

CAR - TE Greg Olsen has limited practice

Source: The Associated Press - Steve Reed

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) put in a limited practice Thursday, Oct. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Olsen's foot injury is likely to keep him limited in Thursday practices all year long. He's set to play this week against the Ravens. It's a tough matchup so we like him as a TE2 for Fantasy GMs in Week 8.

NYJ - RB Bilal Powell should play again

Source: The Associated Press - Dennis Waszak Jr.

New York Jets RB Bilal Powell (neck) should be able to play against once he recovers from his neck injury, according to head coach Todd Bowles.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Just yesterday Bowles said this injury could be career threatening. Either way we know Powell won't be back with the Jets this year. A fourth-round pick of the Jets in 2011, Powell is set to hit the open market in 2019.

NE - RB Sony Michel remains sidelined

Source: The Providence Journal - Mark Daniels

New England Patriots RB Sony Michel (knee) was unable to practice Thursday, Oct. 25.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We don't think Michel is going to play in Week 8. That means James White should be the Patriots lead back and a RB1 for Fantasy GMs. Kenjon Barner has 'what the heck' flex value as a backup to White on Monday night against the Bills.

BUF - RB LeSean McCoy limited

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) is practicing on a limited basis Thursday, Oct. 25, but he remains in the concussion protocol.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bills play on Monday night against the Patriots. We'll see if he can practice fully on Saturday. If he plays in Week 8, McCoy is a RB3 or flex play for Fantasy GMs.

    Saturday Update

HOU - ACL tear ends WR Will Fuller's season

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Updating previous reports, Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (knee) suffered a torn ACL on Thursday, Oct. 25, against the Miami Dolphins, head coach Bill O'Brien confirmed Friday. Fuller will miss the rest of the season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Keke Coutee will be a target hog when he returns, but that might not be until Week 11 after the Texans bye. In the meantime UDFA Vyncint Smith will be the #2 receiver. Jordan Thomas could get more targets, and the team will certainly continue to lean on the running game.

NE - TE Rob Gronkowski limited

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 26.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Most reports give Gronkowski a chance to play, but it's far from certain that he'll play. Hopefully tomorrow's practice will be more revealing and we'll get an update on Sunday morning.

MIN - Absent RB Dalvin Cook expected to miss Week 8

Source: St. Paul Pioneer Press - Chris Tomasson

Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook (hamstring) sat out practice Friday, Oct. 26, and is expected to miss the Week 8 game against the New Orleans Saints.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Latavius Murray will get the start, but he will face a tough Saints run defense.

JAX - RB Carlos Hyde in line for bulk of work?

Source: The Florida Times-Union - Hays Carlyon

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Carlos Hyde could see 60 percent of the carries in Week 8, in the opinion of beat writer Hays Carlyon.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Even if he gets that much, the Eagles run defense is the strength of the unit so Hyde's outlook is still dim. Whatever value he has will vanish when Leonard Fournette is back.

SF - Questionable tag for RB Matt Breida

    Source: ESPN.com - Josh Weinfuss

San Francisco 49ers RB Matt Breida (ankle) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 26, and is listed as questionable for Week 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Breida has a chance to return on Sunday and ruin the Raheem Mostert sleeper show, but he isn't safe enough to trust in your lineup after two straight games have been cut short by injury.

SF - WR Pierre Garcon listed as doubtful

    Source: ESPN.com - Josh Weinfuss

San Francisco 49ers WR Pierre Garcon (knee, shoulder) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 26, and is listed as doubtful for Week 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Dante Pettis will be back this week and could get significant snaps with Garcon out.

ARI - TE Ricky Seals-Jones ready to play

    Source: ESPN.com - Josh Weinfuss

Arizona Cardinals TE Ricky Seals-Jones (forearm) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 26, and is not on the injury report for Week 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Seals-Jones looked like he might have a fractured arm or wrist when he left the loss to the Broncos, but he's fine for this week and has a good matchup if you need a streamer.

ARI - WR Larry Fitzgerald on track to play

    Source: ESPN.com - Josh Weinfuss

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 26, and is not on the injury report for Week 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The team reportedly wants to get Fitzgerald more involved and he's as healthy as he has been all year. He's worth a WR3/Flex look this week.

ARI - QB Josh Rosen not on injury report

    Source: AZCardinals.com - Josh Weinfuss

Arizona Cardinals QB Josh Rosen (toe) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 26, and is not on the injury report for Week 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rosen's status looked like it could be iffy when he limped off late in the loss to the Broncos, but he'll be ok for Sunday and get a chance to take Byron Leftwich's offense for a spin.

ARI - PK Phil Dawson questionable

    Source: ESPN.com - Josh Weinfuss

Arizona Cardinals PK Phil Dawson (hip) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 26, and is listed as questionable for Week 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Cardinals have Matthew McCrane on the practice squad they can call him up if Dawson can't go. Some thought he had an outside shot to win Dawson's job this summer.

DET - RB Theo Riddick ruled out

    Source: DetroitLions.com

Detroit Lions RB Theo Riddick (knee) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 26, and has been ruled out for Week 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kerryon Johnson should get more snaps in the passing game again this week if you were looking for a nudge to use him against the Seahawks.

NE - WR Josh Gordon listed as limited

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots WR Josh Gordon (hamstring) was limited during practice Friday, Oct. 26.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gordon appears to not have his typical top-end explosiveness because of this hamstring issue, but he's still playing more than well enough to merit a WR3/Flex start.

WAS - RB Adrian Peterson not on injury report

Source: The Washington Post - Kareem Copeland

Washington Redskins RB Adrian Peterson (ankle, shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 26, and is not on the injury report for Week 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

You can fire up Peterson as your RB2 in a matchup that is winnable for Washington, so they are likely to lean on him.

WAS - Questionable tag for RB Chris Thompson

Source: The Washington Post - Kareem Copeland

Washington Redskins RB Chris Thompson (knee, rib) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 26, but is listed as questionable for Week 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thompson is a risky but potentially solid PPR RB2 this week in the very conservative Washington passing game.

NYJ - NY Jets could bring back WR Terrelle Pryor

    Source: ProFootballTalk.com - Mike Florio

Free-agent WR Terrelle Pryor (Jets) may be an option for the New York Jets following their Week 8 game against the Chicago Bears.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Pryor still has ability, but teams aren't seeing him as an essential piece right now. It's worth holding him in deep dynasty, but not beyond that format.

HOU - Houston unlikely to pursue WR Dez Bryant

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Free-agent WR Dez Bryant (Cowboys) likely will not receive interest from the Houston Texans even after WR Will Fuller (knee) suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Terrelle Pryor is the only other free agent wide receiver that could be a fit, but he is a long shot. The Texans could still make a move here, but probably one that is unlikely to make a splash in fantasy leagues.

IND - TE Jack Doyle likely to go Week 8

Source: The Indianapolis Star - Zak Keefer

Indianapolis Colts TE Jack Doyle (hip) is expected to play in Week 8 against the Oakland Raiders.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Doyle is worth a streamer look in his first week back and shouldn't be on any waiver wires. Eric Ebron's ceiling comes down with this news.

CAR - WR Torrey Smith ruled out vs. Ravens

Source: The Athletic - Joe Person

Carolina Panthers WR Torrey Smith (knee) on Friday, Oct. 26, was ruled out of the Week 8 game against the Baltimore Ravens with a knee injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Curtis Samuel and DJ Moore could get more looks with Smith out in this one.

DEN - RB Royce Freeman remains out of practice

Source: The Athletic - Nicki Jhabvala

Denver Broncos RB Royce Freeman (ankle) missed a third straight day of practice Friday, Oct. 26, with an ankle injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Phillip Lindsay will get a small uptick in targets, but look for Devontae Booker to take up more of the slack as the team doesn't want to overwork the undersized Lindsay.

NYJ - WR Robby Anderson doubtful for Week 8

    Source: SNY - Ralph Vacchiano

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (ankle) on Friday, Oct. 26, was listed as doubtful for Week 8 with an ankle injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jermaine Kearse will be the #1 receiver against the Bears, and Andre Roberts will also play a big role. New addition Rishard Matthews could also see some snaps this week.

HOU - D'Onta Foreman nearing return

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Houston Texans RB D'Onta Foreman (Achilles') is closer to making a return to practice but remains on the Physically Unable to Perform list, according to head coach Bill O'Brien.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It doesn't sound like Foreman is going to get back to 2017 form this year and he's not a threat to Lamar Miller's value. If you've been sitting on him hoping for a return, it's probably not worth holding him.

OAK - Oakland talking up WR Martavis Bryant

Source: The Athletic - Vic Tafur

Oakland Raiders WR Martavis Bryant is expected to be a bigger part of the offense following the trade of Amari Cooper to the Dallas Cowboys on Monday, Oct. 22.'I think it helps a player like Martavis Bryant because he's got tremendous skills, tremendous size and speed, and he's still really kind of learning the system. I think he's such an explosive player. ... I think it will help them more he's in the system, the more he's here and is able to sit around and stay with one system,' offensive coordinator Greg Olson said.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bryant gets high value deep targets and the Raiders will likely be playing from behind and passing more than running in the second half of the season, but he's still only bench depth unless he and Derek Carr heat up.

IND - RB Marlon Mack at practice

Source: FOX 59 Indianapolis - Mike Chappell

Indianapolis Colts RB Marlon Mack (ankle) is practicing Friday, Oct. 26.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mack was a full participant but will still be listed questionable. He's very likely to play and you can probably risk him without a late/night game hedge on your bench, but there is higher risk of an aggravation or Mack not being at the level he was last week. Nyheim Hines goes back to the background with Mack's return.

Damn, LT ..u selling picks ?

Comment: Manning won't be traded ? Shitttt, His ass should have been fired like 3 years ago. Only because he is a Manning, IMO. You see Peyton at his games and talking about him a lot. Tired about hearing how bad their offensive line is. At some point you have to say it's Manning too !

    Sunday Update

NE - RB Sony Michel listed as doubtful

    Source: Patriots.com

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots RB Sony Michel (knee) was a limited participant in practice Saturday, Oct. 27 and he is listed as doubtful for the Week 8 game against the Buffalo Bills on Monday, Oct. 29.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

As expected, even though Michel's knee injury was not serious and he was practicing a bit this week. With Michel down for Monday night (most likely), we'll see James White as the lead back for the Patriots. That makes Kenjon Barner his primary backup and change-of-pace back in Week 8.

SF - WR Dante Pettis ready to roll

Source: NBC Sports Bay Area - Matt Maiocco

San Francisco 49ers WR Dante Pettis (knee) will return for the Week 8 game against the Arizona Cardinals after missing the past three games.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Pettis hasn't caught a pass since Week 2 against the Lions. He played 25 snaps against the Chiefs in Week 3 and has been out of action since then. The rookie has speed to burn and the quickness to get by defenders after the catch. He's no.3 on the depth chart behind Marquise Goodwin and Trent Taylor with Pierre Garcon (knee, shoulder) ruled out for Week 8.

SF - WR Pierre Garcon ruled out for Week 8

Source: Bay Area News Group - Cam Inman

San Francisco 49ers WR Pierre Garcon (knee, shoulder) has been ruled out for the Week 8 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

No surprise here. Garcon didn't practice all week and the 49ers have a short turnaround as they play on Thursday night in Week 9.

NE - WR Josh Gordon questionable for Week 8

    Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots WR Josh Gordon (hamstring) was listed as a limited participant in practice Saturday, Oct. 27 and he is considered questionable for Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills on Monday, Oct. 29.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gordon's role with the Patriots has been growing each week. So long as he stays healthy we expect that trend to continue. With this Monday night game against the Bills (and this injury) we like Gordon as a WR3/flex option for Fantasy GMs in Week 8.

SEA - TE Ed Dickson officially activated

Source: 710 ESPN Seattle - Brady Henderson

The Seattle Seahawks activated TE Ed Dickson (quadriceps) from the non-football injury (NFI) list on Saturday, Oct. 27 and waived TE Tyrone Swoopes to make room on the 53-man roster.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Dickson will get his first game action for the Seahawks this week. They say he could be used more than some think but we'd like to see it first. The Seahawks have been looking for TE help since Will Dissly went down earlier this year.

NE - TE Rob Gronkowski questionable for MNF

    Source: Patriots.com

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) is officially listed as questionable for the Week 8 game against the Buffalo Bills on Monday, Oct. 29.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gronkowski should play on Monday night. If he's on the field, then he's a TE1 for Fantasy GMs.

BUF - WR Kelvin Benjamin limited Saturday

    Source: BuffaloBills.com

Buffalo Bills WR Kelvin Benjamin (non-injury) was limited during practice Saturday, Oct. 27, but is not on the injury report for Week 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bills will have Derek Anderson as their starting quarterback against the Patriots on Monday night. That makes Benjamin just a WR4/deep flex option in PPR leagues...at best.

NFL - WR Jeremy Maclin undergoing procedure

Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafolo

Free-agent WR Jeremy Maclin (glute, hamstring) is scheduled to undergo a procedure on his glute and hamstring area in the near future and will not play this season. He expects to play next season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A hamstring injury kept him from getting a new team this offseason and now he's going to surgically repair the problem. We'll see if the veteran (who hasn't looked like his old self in two years) can get a shot with a new team for the veteran minimum in 2019.

BUF - RB LeSean McCoy still in concussion protocol

Source: The Athletic - Matthew Fairburn

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol Saturday, Oct. 27, according to head coach Sean McDermott.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McCoy is still in the protocol but all reports indicate he should be able to suit up on Monday night against the Patriots. With their game being on Monday night, Fantasy GMs should have another option at the ready (Chris Ivory?) if McCoy is in as a flex play in Week 8.

MIA - QB Ryan Tannehill might miss another game

    Source: ESPN.com - Cameron Wolfe

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill (shoulder) is nearing the stage where he can resume throwing, according to head coach Adam Gase, but he added they are in 'uncharted waters' as it relates to his injury and need honest feedback on his status so that he doesn't relapse.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Keep an eye on this situation, but only if you're in a start-2QB league or streaming quarterbacks (is that still a thing?). ESPN's Cameron Wolfe indicated it might be 'overly optimistic' for Tannehill to start in Week 9, which could mean another start for QB Brock Osweiler.

PHI - TE Zach Ertz piling up catches

    Source: ESPN.com

Philadelphia Eagles TE Zach Ertz's 57 catches are the second most in the NFL and 19 more than any other tight end.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ertz is a favored target in the Eagles offense...and their WR position is a bit thin after Alshon Jeffery. Even if rookie TE Dallas Goedert does a bit more going forward, we don't think it negatively impacts Ertz's value to the offense...and to the Fantasy GMs that start him every week.

DAL - RB Ezekiel Elliott still breaking big runs

    Source: NFL.com - Cynthia Frelund

Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott leads the NFL with 13 runs of 15 or more yards, and his 12 runs of 15 or more yards on first down are four more than any other back.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Elliott is the centerpiece of the Cowboys offense...and for good reason. He is a threat to break off a big play anytime he touches the ball. Elliott may see quite a few stacked boxes but the Cowboys might be able to make defenses pay for doing that with the new addition at wideout Amari Cooper. We're anxious to see what kind of impact Cooper has on the rest of the offense, but he's certainly not going to reduce the role that Elliott has for the Cowboys.

SF - Sleep helping TE George Kittle?

Source: NinersNation.com - Jennifer Lee Chan

San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle's jump in performance this year can be credited to his ability to stay healthy, according to head coach Kyle Shanahan, and Kittle said he has been taking care of his body more this season, which includes routinely having at least 8 1/2 hours of sleep.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Nothing like a good night of sleep to help you feel refreshed. Kittle is a young player and he is still learning how to best take care of his body. He has a strong connection with his quarterback (and former college teammate) C.J. Beathard and performs like a TE1 for Fantasy GMs.

DAL - WR Amari Cooper living up to hype

    Source: NFL.com - Herbie Teope

Dallas Cowboys WR Amari Cooper has been as good as advertised, according to owner Jerry Jones, and Jones expects Cooper to 'change the dynamics of the offense.'

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Alright Jerry...we get it, you're hyping up your new acquisition..and for good reason. The Cowboys didn't have much at the WR position until they added Cooper via trade last week. We're not going to say he's living up to the hype until they actually play a game. The Cowboys have a bye in Week 8, so we have some time to wait until Cooper's debut.

BUF - QB Josh Allen still on the mend

Source: WGR Sports Radio 550 - Joe Buscaglia

Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen (elbow) is 'moving in the right direction' but is likely a few weeks away from returning, according to head coach Sean McDermott.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

At 2-5, the Bills season is down the tubes anyway...so no need to rush Allen back to the lineup. They'll struggle offensively no matter if Derek Anderson or Nathan Peterman start at quarterback. With this bad quarterback situation it makes anyone not named LeSean McCoy (when healthy) difficult for Fantasy GMs to trust.

SF - RB Jerick McKinnon off crutches

    Source: ESPN.com - Nick Wagoner

San Francisco 49ers RB Jerick McKinnon (knee) no longer needs to use crutches as he continues to recover from knee surgery.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McKinnon is done for the season but this is a positive sign for his recovery. He had knee surgery back in mid-September and should hopefully be ready to return to action by the time training camp rolls around in August 2019.

NYJ - WR Rishard Matthews could contribute

Source: NJ Advance Media - Matt Stypulkoski

New York Jets WR Rishard Matthews is still learning the offense but could see playing time against the Chicago Bears in Week 8, but head coach Todd Bowles wouldn't say how much he plans to use Matthews.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Matthews was just signed by the Jets earlier in the week. He has plenty of experience so hopefully getting him up to speed doesn't take that long. Matthews may play some on Sunday against the Bears but he's not fantasy relevant...even as a crazy, what am I doing type of 'what the heck' flex. The Jets are thin at the position with Quincy Enunwa (ankle) out and Robby Anderson (ankle) doubtful for Sunday.

Terrelle Pryor is the only other free agent wide receiver that could be a fit, but he is a long shot. The Texans could still make a move here, but probably one that is unlikely to make a splash in fantasy leagues.

    Monday Update

TB - QB Ryan Fitzpatrick takes over in Week 8

    Source: 1 No Source

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Ryan Fitzpatrick came off the bench for the mistake-prone QB Jameis Winston, completing 11-of-15 passes for 194 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fitzpatrick may or may not start against the Panthers next week, but it feels inevitable that he will start at some point. He has shown that he can put up top-end QB1 numbers, so he should be picked up in most leagues while we wait for this to resolve itself.

TB - WR DeSean Jackson scores in Week 8

    Source: 1 No Source

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR DeSean Jackson posted three receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals and he had one run for four yards.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jackson's deep score actually came from Jameis Winston as that weak connection came together for once in the loss. Jackson could get a great boost if Ryan Fitzpatrick is re-installed as the starter, or if he is traded to someplace like Philadelphia. His value is in for a change no matter what.

KC - WR Sammy Watkins has huge game in win

    Source: 1 No Source

Kansas City Chiefs WR Sammy Watkins registered eight receptions for 107 yards and two touchdowns on nine targets in the Week 8 game against the Denver Broncos.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Watkins left the first matchup with the Broncos with a hamstring injury, but dominated in this one. Tyreek Hill has a groin issue, so Watkins could be in for some big weeks soon, including against the Browns next week.

NYG - TE Evan Engram reaches end zone

    Source: NFL.com

New York Giants TE Evan Engram caught five passes for 25 yards and one touchdown against the Washington Redskins in Week 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Engram's score came as the clock almost expired and he was not a major factor in this game. He's still a viable tight end play because of the dearth of options at the position, but it has been a disappointing season without much sign of improvement on the horizon with the issues at quarterback.

NYG - RB Saquon Barkley involved in passing game

    Source: NFL.com

New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley caught nine passes for 73 yards against the Washington Redskins in Week 8. He also rushed for 38 yards on 13 carries during the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Barkley didn't really affect of the outcome of the game, but 100+ total yards and heavy passing game usage made him a PPR hit anyway.

NYG - QB Eli Manning throws for 316 yards

    Source: NFL.com

New York Giants QB Eli Manning went 30-for-47 for 316 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions against the Washington Redskins in Week 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The touchdown was meaningless and came at the very end of the loss. The Giants are going to have to ask themselves if they are better served seeing where Kyle Lauletta is in his development at some point this year. Manning is lower tier streamer as long as he starts and only because of the quality of his weapons.

DEN - WR Courtland Sutton leads the way

    Source: 1 No Source

Denver Broncos WR Courtland Sutton posted three receptions with a team-high 78 yards on four targets in the Week 8 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sutton is the designed big play receiver for the Broncos and could be more going forward if Demaryius Thomas gets traded. The Broncos face a banged up Texans secondary next week.

WAS - RB Adrian Peterson accounts for two TDs

    Source: NFL.com

Washington Redskins RB Adrian Peterson rushed for 149 yards and one touchdown on 26 carries against the New York Giants in Week 8. He also caught one pass for seven yards and one touchdown during the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Peterson finished the game with a long touchdown run and looked capable of carrying this team along with a strong defense. He'll be worth an RB2 look against the Falcons next week.

DEN - RB Phillip Lindsay runs for 95 yards, TD

    Source: 1 No Source

Denver Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay rushed 18 times for 95 yards and a touchdown in Week 8 against the Kansas City Chiefs and he added three receptions for 17 yards.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Lindsay had a few additional touches with Royce Freeman out, but wasn't a true lead back. He was a still a strong RB2 option for his fantasy teams, and should be lineups against the Texans again next week.

CAR - Not much for WR Devin Funchess

    Source: NFL

Carolina Panthers WR Devin Funchess posted three grabs for 27 yards on his three targets in the Week 8 game against the Baltimore Ravens.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Funchess was a steady reliable fantasy going into this one, but DJ Moore had a strong game and Funchess's role in the pecking order for targets in Carolina might be in danger. We'll err on the side of playing him against Tampa next week, but be on watch for moving him out of the circle of trust.

PIT - RB James Conner continues outstanding play

    Source: NFL.com

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries against the Cleveland Browns in Week 8. He also caught five passes for 66 yards during the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Conner was dominant against the Browns and appears to be getting stronger every week. He'll have a tough matchup against the Ravens next week but can not be benched.

CLE - No targets for TE David Njoku

    Source: NFL.com

Cleveland Browns TE David Njoku was not targeted during the team's Week 8 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Njoku was one of the few trustworthy tight ends going into this one, but his usage was inexplicable. He can win one-on-one matchups, but the Browns weren't interested in leveraging his physical gifts. Someone is going to get fired in Cleveland soon.

CAR - WR D.J. Moore totals 129 scrimmage yards

Carolina Panthers WR D.J. Moore finished with career highs of five catches and 90 yards on six targets in Week 8 against the Baltimore Ravens and he rushed twice for 39 yards.

Moore was explosive and fast in this one, and had good luck on a fumble that bounced right back to him. There's no reason for the Panthers to use him less against the Bucs next week whether Torrey Smith is healthy enough to play or not. Moore might be a fantasy impact player in the second half of the season.

CLE - WR Antonio Callaway reaches end zone

Cleveland Browns WR Antonio Callaway caught five passes for 36 yards and one touchdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 8.

Callaway has a pulse in redraft leagues again and might be viable in deep leagues as a WR3/Flex against the Chiefs next week, but only because of the quality of the matchup.

JAX - RB T.J. Yeldon involved in passing game

    Source: NFL.com

Jacksonville Jaguars RB T.J. Yeldon caught seven passes for 83 yards against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 8. He also rushed for seven yards on two carries during the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Yeldon remained heavily involved as a receiver in catchup mode even though he took a backseat to Carlos Hyde in the running game. He's still end of the bench depth in PPR leagues, but possibly behind Hyde to get carries if Leonard Fournette suffers another injury.

PHI - TE Dallas Goedert catches TD pass

    Source: NFL.com

Philadelphia Eagles TE Dallas Goedert caught one pass for 32 yards and one touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Goedert's opportunity is inconsistent, but he clearly has the goods to be a fantasy relevant tight end. He could be a streamer if his target share goes up in the second half of the year, and he's at least worth waiver desperation play consideration even if it doesn't.
