Common sense tells us that Kershaw is not often an underdog, but Bet Labs reveals that he hasn’t been a pooch since July 24, 2012. The Dodgers closed at +127 on the road against the St. Louis Cardinals with Adam Wainwright on the mound.

Including the postseason, this will be the 34th time in his career that Kershaw is a dog compared to 305 games as a favorite.

The southpaw has gone 17-16 in his 33 starts as a dog for +3.7 units.

I'm going with July 24th, 2012 against St. Louis.

I think he was about +125, give or take a few cents, and the Dodgers lost.

Keep in mind the lay off for Boston and the health of Sale for game 1.

Shouldn't he always be the underdog in a big game?

The kershaw of 3 years ago could beat this redsox lineup. The kershaw of today only throws 90 and hasnt learned yet how to get outs with less velocity. Much less against a designated hitter lineup.

i didn't know who to take all week in game 1. but getting kershaw rl -140 sounds like as good an option as possible. dodgers fight late in games so i'm betting they keep it within 2 if they don't win

sounds retarded and not believable to not be an underdog for 6 years not like they always win when he starts

Has Kershaw ever been this large of an underdog ever? I saw +160 in a few places.
