Houston offers four first round picks for Jimmy Butler

That's a lot of picks. Does he even get Houston over the top? Getting that many picks which will likely all be outside of the lottery won't help a lot.

and they have to be spread out for like 7 years, one pick every other year.

Houston's 1st round picks are very late picks, so I think it is worth it for Houston.

Assuming the picks will be every other year so maybe the Rockets won't be as good in 2023 and 2025. 2019 and maybe 2021 will probably be late 1st round picks. Wolves should jump on this, the longer the Wolves wait the worse the deals are going to get. Could be a good trade for both teams.

I feel like we often hear about these proposals but they never happen. It's all for posturing, putting a a"price" out there. If I'm Minnesota GM I try to trade Butler to a place where I can get 2 first round picks, 1 of which hopefully falls in top 10. that's it.

Bunch of picks at end of 1st round don’t often result in much. Sure you can occasionally get lucky w one but they not like nfl draft picks where you get guys who basically a lock to come in and contribute. In other words the likelihood of even one those 4 picks resulting in a Jimmy Butler type talent is slim. When you look at it that way it really not all that much!!

Butler should fit in fine w a team like that cause he not the kind of guy that has to dominate the ball to get his. I would think the way he plays would be a huge help to the rockets.

    What difference does it make

Wolves going nowhere in west anyway

    Butler walking away anyway

    Future is Towns/ Wiggins

Use 1 of these to get a great 3pt college shooter or some 7 footer from Transylvania. One of the picks can hit if looking for role players or package to move up in draft.

It’s a fake leaked offer. The Wolves would do that in a heartbeat.

So Houston had 2 good perimeter defender in ariza and moute? Instead of paying those 2 guys? They pay capela? Now there reaching for a cancer player like butler - that will definitely not be ok? Being the 3rd option - good job morey? Out think yourself this time fat boy !!!

Who's going to give them anything?

    Guy walks, they get nothing

Chance that 21/23 pix are legit

Can get solid roll players and shooters mid to late round

win for both teams if jimmy would sign. cavs got lucky in draft twice. lebron and kyrie. lost both guys. cavs not great at drafting. jimmy would make them relevant in the east. try and work k love in to save a few bucks to get a fa next year.

Draft picks are a dime a dozen in the NBA. Superstars win in the NBA! I think what the Wolves should do - Is - say - Ok Jimmy you are so smart - so great. We will play you 48 minutes a game - get it done - win games - it is all on you - put up or shut up! He bitches about everything - Let him pick the other starters but if the team loses - start blaming him that he did not do enough and the team lost.

Don't agree. In a few years, they'll be paying a broken down cp3 45 mil a year. And either butler leaves after one season, or he stays on a max and you're paying an old butler and old cp3 the max past their prime. The pick in 5 years and 7 years could be great. Hell the pick in 3 years could be decent as they will age and cap themselves out Quickly
