So all the hype of bitcoin is over. What does that mean for bitcoin only sports book?

Look like it’s been hovering around the $6500 mark for awhile now. Is this good or bad for books

I think many just want to use it as a way to move money. So stability in the price is good.

It's good for the most part, seems more and more likely the markets have found the bottom. I wouldn't exactly say the hype is over though, we're probably only months away from the beginning of the halving hype again - where btc block rewards are reduced by half. Unless miners feel like operating on nearly 50% less gross income after that, something would have to give regarding btc prices.

Also seems there is a lot going on mostly behind the scenes for the institutional side too.

Always going to have volatility with crypto(or really anything that fulfills this purpose), even small variations among stablecoins which promise to be worth $1 each. As the industry matures though, it's reasonable to expect less drastic swings %-wise anyway.

Stability is good for bitcoin as it will help bitcoin to become mainstream. I transfer bitcoin to my Bitpay account and use the debit card to purchase goods.

It's also good for those afraid of fluctuations that play at bitcoin only sportsbooks. Once again almost all my action goes through bitcoin only sportsbooks because it's anonymous and withdrawals are fast.

like you said, this is too big time now. It's probably going to
hold the next rally stronger after this prolonged stability.

Btc is the greatest thing on earth for the S-books if you link BTC to your bank account & make it where you can buy

BTC and transfer it to a book anytime of day or night!

That's the only reason they ever pushed/pumped BTC.

Because you could get drunk one night, or just have a losing session,

and they could get every dime you had in your bank account before you stopped.

But if you keep your bank acct out of it, where you can't keep buying BTC and transferring it to the book,

and lose all your money in one night, then it is a GREAT and easy way to get money sent in to bet with.

OK. Interesting take. These startups go nowhere without investors and VC's. There is no market without speculators, traders and investors.
Not really sure what is parasitic about this.... my bank account is missing a lot of nutrients as I wait for my ship to come in... (2/5/10 years?) There's also the possibility it may never come in.....

Last year when the craze hit everyone, it ws damn near impossible to move BTC anywhere. 8-12 hour transaction times. from one wallet to another so if you wanted to move money from CB to a book it would take nearly a day if you had to bridge the gap in-between with another blockchain wallet

Yeah I could see how what I said could be interpreted wrong, I meant the beginning of the hype...which we'll probably see a full year or slightly more of before the halving actually happens. I've seen a few charts with an overlay of the previous halvings, and the two ways it could be looked at is that the pricing-in starts either very early before or very late after. But by the time it actually happens, things have tended to already settle down a lot.

I never really understood it either. They literally create the markets, it would be a absolute mess without them...if anything like this could even manage to exist in the first place. Difficult for me to be against capitalism anyway, personally.

    Don't take it personally.

In the crypto world so many have the get rich quick and easy mentality. Pump it, dump it. Anything goes. Who cares about functionality. Even Bitcoin Core was infected.

Not to mention the short sellers, who do the opposite of pump and dump-- dump and short. Look what they try to do to Tesla.

Easiest way to move money in and out or books since neteller. Not really planning to hold much long-term so I wont be losing everything.

The less "important" bitcoin becomes to the general public, the better for gambling users.

I have a few hundred bucks in bitcoin, Brick and Mortar sportsbooks are so much easier than online books now though. Why even bother to convert your funds to crypto, then convert it back, just use cash with a local or at Brick and Mortar.

    Cash is king.
