Completely agree I just thought he wasn't there to get taken taken mentally he seemed so focused and driven but i think Connor did it, the man is looks angry (for Khabib!). Khabib is a pedal to the metal type wrastler and I can see Conor taking advantage of that and going for some slick submissions to surprise him. Conor is about humiliating his opponents and in this case a submission would be glorious for him. It’s no coincidence he brought in Dillon Danis to work on the BJJ skills.

I grabbed Conor by sub last weekend at +3000 and it’s down to +2300 today so we’ve got positive movement for this theory too.

Conor only has a punchers chance. which is a deterrent to laying the juice. but it is his only chance. he will get embarrassed grappling with khabib. his opportunities to land the shot will be limited because despite your doubt, khabib is intelligent in the cage and forces the fight his way. if conor doesn't get a great knockout shot, khabib dominates and wins every round easily.
