Give him time to throw the ball and he is as accurate a passer as any QB in the league.. He's a good guy also as I read his book years ago...

It's hard to rank quarterbacks, but I'd say he's probably in the top 10.

Brees has played with lousy defenses most of his career, similar to Manning. But he's had much better coaching. As someone else said, he's one of the most accurate passers I've ever seen. Watch his throws when he has time, nobody does it better.

I think Brees has been a beneficiary of more bs protecting the qb calls than all the other big time qbs combined the last 10 years. Just thinking about it I recall so many times he got touched and 20 flags hit field all at once! Such garbage!!

I'd have a hard time putting him in the top 15 for on field performance. Off field he's super high up the rankings and I think that makes people want to rank him higher for on field things. Kind of the opposite Allen Iverson - he should get a lot more talk about historically good NBA players (especially for his size) but you never hear his name in the conversation because he was kind of disliked for a variety of reasons. And I'm not saying AI is anywhere near the best... just should be in some conversations when ranking top 10, 20, etc.

    He's only 200 yards away.

    Should break it next week.

Funny some guys overlook him about to be the NFL's all time passing leader.

If it's so easy, why haven't the hundreds or thousands of other QB's done it?

The TD record will is next.

Judging the best QB of all time by a total passing yards is like saying the best car ever made is a Toyota Corolla. Sure, if total miles is the criteria, then yes. Similarly, if you want to use total yards as the measuring stick, Brees rates super high. It really just depends on what people consider to be the most important stat. There really isn't a right or wrong answer. It's just what you hold the most important in judging.

Most discussions I hear rank Super Bowl rings MUCH higher than passing yards with regards to GOAT. I suppose if games were won by total yards, Brees would make the discussion but as long as we decide who won the game by points on the scoreboard, guys like Brady, Montana, Bradshaw and Elway will be though of in higher regard.
