    pretty big job for a guy without a college degree. I mean he did not even finish college or even work as an assistant GM. He was GM at Delaware for some reason for 2 weeks, I mean this is crazy.

    there's only a handful of great players in the league that can change your team, it's more important to attract them than having some Harvard schmuck who looks at excel spreadsheets or whatever.

    Figurehead. They kept the status quo in place to perform all the legwork. Maybe Brand has good relationships with players in the league to bring in a marquee name.
