Arizona St vs San Diego St college football.

I gotta go with San Diego and the points when they play at home.

What is everybody's take on this?

arizona state has a bunch of coaches on D that came from sd state and they know all of san diego's signals and sd isn't going to change them... as that would just confuse their own players

arizona state wins don't know about if they cover more than 5 tho

yeah why do you need a 17-7 lead at half anyways? bail on the chip shot FG and don't even get a pass off on 4th and 1...

are these coaches for real? you aren't the eagles in the super bowl you don't have a philly philly to call

    You mean the sun devils.

They had the ball in the redzone up 14-7 late first half. Had the potential to go up 2 scores and get the 2h kickoff.

Instead they get stopped and give up a td before the half.

And the 2nd half is just a joke.

    Pathetic performance

Pretty much the blueprint for late game situations.

Just take the guys head off at all costs.

you can have a completion if you catch the ball as its touching the ground at the same time but catching and having control as youre coming down and the ball touches the ground seems to me the same thing pretty much

thing is this year refs are going away from irrefutable and deciding on close calls in the booth. even if the evidence is disputable.

ASU should have had 2 plays from the half yard line to tie it.

It seems to have paid of in this situation. If the guy is in danger of catching the ball, use targeting to cause him to drop the ball. You only lose one player and the receiver doesn't catch the ball and you win the game.

It's called rewarding the offender and encourages players to offend in order to win the game.

But you see, this just fits in with college football where you only get penalized 15 yards for pass interference. So if you are in danger of having a receiver make a better play because of your incompetence you are rewarded for interfering with his catch. SMDH.

Agree. Instead of losing the player for the rest of the game, maybe he should be lost for the next 60 minutes.

In this particular case, when it deals with a dropped reception, I think you should give a reception at the spot of the foul just like they do in the NFL for interference. There's a reason why they give the penalty at the spot of the foul in the NFL. It's to prevent a defensive player from fouling to gain an advantage. College football has always been broken in this aspect and it's gone on for decades.

I kinda agree especially when you have the catch and the only reason it touches ground is because your head is taken off. I always thought they dont give you the spot of the foul in college because the players are less skillful and it might be too much of an advantage for a team to just chuck the ball down field hoping for a pass interference to get free yards. DB's are better in the pros but pass interference is still such a subjective call like fouls in basketball. Sometimes you see the same type contact and one may be called and the other isnt.
