It looks like I've forgotten more about handicapping than you will ever know, not the other way around.

The stacking forecast says Army wins with 30 points Hawaii's 13 points. The public gauge say Army wins 35-24.

The line opened at 5, 5.5 in some houses, and jumped to 6.5, towards the forecast.

The early bettors must be sharp, forecast style, because that line moved upward in the face of nothing but public pressure and money on Hawaii.

The books are developing a contrarian situation here where sharper money, but perhaps not all, are also on that contrarian side...

The money is on Army, Gold, always has been.

Let me add that the sharp money stopped flowing on Army when the number hit 7. The number became too torched.

JJ, it's a tricky game to cap. Very true. Some things to consider:

1) Extreme travel game.
2) Bows have performed MUCH better than expected. So, they probably weren't going to be Fav here.
3) Army looked pretty sharp last out. Rushing game going, could be hard on Bows.

7 is still way too low, army should be favored by 14 or so with that ridiculous start time advantage and travel

And as a result they are 2 and 10 when playing in the eastern time zone.Don't kid yourself those 5,000 mile trips are brutal.

Haven't see Hawaii play much yet but this Cole Mcdonald kid sure does have an impressive stat line so far this year albeit against terrible competition. Hawaii got torched on the ground last week against Navy who also runs the triple option that Army does, but if they can't stop Hawaii through the air it may not matter. 6 AM does seem really earlier to play a game. Hell at any age I would hate to play a game before 10 am.

there's still jet lag, even if they've been there a couple days

have you ever been to hawaii? i get up at 2-3am the first few days because it is really 7-8am milwaukee time

last time hawaii played in the eastern time zone they lost 63-3

After reading all this. It sounds like a really confident Hawaii lover. Talking people out of stealing, and easily winning with army.
Cause my momma, my friends momma, and my mommas momma all are on Hawaii. Noone respects Army.
