    E-sports obsessions.

I can't believe there isn't a thread for E-sports, anyways, is there anyone out here who follows Counter Strike, Overwatch, Starcraft 2, LoL, and Street Fighter religiously? It could honestly be whatever E-sports league, it's just so hard to relate to people on here as that is the sport I am most obsessed by, minus the UFC.

This thread can be used for discussing E-sports related stuff!

Hey there jjsilver. E sports is gaining momentum every year. I have begun researching this recently. Was in Las Vegas last month and visited the Luxor which has its own Arena. It was incredible to see this inside a casino.

Well, I guess it makes sense then since I am a younger lad, who grew up in the dysfunctional millennial generation.

I am not surprised this is a thing anymore. Most of these pussies didn't touch the actual sport. This is the reason America is going to shit because now a bunch of kids can not interact in the real world and get paid for being a complete jerkoff with a controller in their hand.

A buddy of mine runs an E Sports management firm. I am pretty sure I could get inside info if I cared enough. AllI know is that the main dollars that these guys make is on Twitch and YT and the tourney money is just gravy. I spent a lot of wasted youth playing street fighter and some of these kids are terrible.

Anywho there is a guy on here bian_faith I think is his handle who has had a few esports betting threads.

The limits are very small as far as betting

If it becomes more popular that’ll be rigged too

It's a virtual world for the trans generation.

We rode the crest of the great wave of America
and these poor kids get to sit on the shore and get crushed
by the crescendo of crashing waves.

For the most part, but the finals for the biggest DOTA event had limits over $250,000. Matchfixing is quite common in lower level play.

I've always played sports & have also always been very good at video games, so i guess that's why i have a small interest in esports, but have yet to pursue it.

I learned that i had gambling blood in my veins as a young teenager, and it all began with video games.

My friend and i used to put up our most expensive sports cards against each other playing Madden football on Xbox.

There were times we stayed up all night playing until sunrise, usually because one of us was desperate to win our best cards back!

It would eventually evolve to us picking 2 teams on the game, and allowing the computer to play it out against each other.

We would leave for a while & go get snacks at the store, and eager to get back in anticipation of seeing who's team was winning.

We were already betting sports against each other & with other friends, but of course it's a whole different ball game once you start frequenting Vegas as we did annually, and then of course found online sportsbooks.

I can tell you that gamers are as competitive as athletes & may even hate to lose even more than athletes do.

    I know i do.

Money talks but i believe you'd see fixes in sports way before you would in esports.

Seems like mainstream books are catching on and in the last 18 months so many esports specific books coming out of the woodwork. Pinny really starting to offer a wide variety and Bookmaker's limits are getting pretty big.

You need to evaluate your life if you are betting on nerdy Chinese kids playing video games. Something very strange about that.

i dont really follow it but i think competing in video games is more of a sport than something like golf or ice skating. you are actually competing against someone who is trying to stop you instead of just comparing scores in solo events.

its basically the same as nascar. ppl controlling a machine that does the work for you.
