17 Years Since 9/11. Where does the time go
Was out in SoCal (was working at Cota De Casa) and watching on TV the events unfolding. Just a sad day.
Any interesting stories of where some of you were?

God bless the heros behind the scenes that have been and are preventing attacks.

I honestly can't believe it's been that long. That day and the day Princess Diana died are the ones that I can clearly mark where I was, what my life was like, etc... 17 years is just remarkable. I hope everyone who lost loved ones or were rescue workers, witnesses, etc have managed to find solace since then.

Was back to school for a little while at the time. In the break room between classes, watching the aftermath of the first plane that hit. Nobody knew what it was, then saw the second plane hit, and everyone immediately knew it was terror. Will never forget.

Was watching some videos on twitter where people on the planes & towers were leaving messages to loved ones. Just sad to listen to.
I guess we don’t know how we’d react in a situation like that but I often wonder if 20-30 people didn’t just rush the c o c k pit how’d things could be different

Truly the one day you can never forget where you were. I was driving to work. Missed all the TV stuff till I got home in the evening. Was truly stunned.

Does everyone remember where they were the day it happened?

I remember that day like it was yesterday. I was in a collegiate golf tournament. I had just got done with the final round and walked into the clubhouse. When I walked in I immediately went to where several of my teammates were sitting and popped a joke. No one was even listening to me and soon I realized that the whole room was staring at the big screen TV behind me. I turned and couldn't believe what I was seeing. Normally it is loud with a few hundred guys talking about their rounds and such. That day for over an hour, as we all watched in horror, you could hear a pin drop in that room. I will never forget that, ever.

I had flown to Texas from NY on 9/10/01. I remember because the Giants and Broncos were playing on Monday night football. I actually had a house then and woke up to a bunch of messages on my flip phone because people thought I was still in NY...it was crazy
