They been great the last month or so since putting rosenthal back at closer where he belongs. Now only if matheny would stop doing dumb shit like leaving Oh out there vs lefties who crushing him this season. We have 3-4 lefty relievers there never a circumstance where oh should be pitching to a left handed hitter!!

Spoken like someone who knows jack shit. All they gotta do is overtake the scrubbies who not exactly playing great and who cards have 7 games against in sept. Very conceivable they win the division then who knows. I know neither nats nor doyers would be thrilled to see them in the playoffs considering how many times cards have knocked them off in the past.

    Yup and yup
im just thankful that Cards we're resilient enough to still have life
after blowing over 10 saves and numerous holds this year

could you imagine their record if they woulda converted on even half the save opportunities
even 6 of them would be 12 game swing , take away 6 losses and add 6 wins , cards
wouldmbe running away with the central

That why most metrics had them as a team that should have been 8-11 games over .500 before this streak.

They don't need that to happen, they already neck and neck w cubs and play them 7 times in sept. They control their own destiny this season due to cubs already choking. Nowhere near same circumstance.

Banker why did they send weaver back down?

You know weaver has good stuff if I'm taking/cashing an under with him.

Seirra (sp) as well that kid was a decent bat they sent him back down .

    They okay

I mean they were tied until fowler hit the grand slam and he also had that double not like team had an offensive explosion that was fowler with 5 rbis at least.

I know because I was on them.
And I was on them when they hit Vargas they should hit Vargas with his soft tossing ass..

Let's see if they hit foltynewicz tonight

Foltzy pretty good , 95 + fastball , but gives up lot of dingers
i don't like Fowler hitting clean up in the long run
tonight's game is a big one because next two are against a rookie and trash can Dickey

    Banker you have jokes

We both know Lynn is the ace of that staff Shout out to wainwright when he's right.

I don't even play the cards side or total when old Carlos pitches.

Seirra makes sense cause we have kinda a log jam in the outfield as is. Better to let him be in minors getting ab's.

The weaver question a little more complicated, he obviously has the stuff to pitch at this level and has proven everything he can in the minors. It just a situation where they not gonna let him unseat one of the starters even tho I'd argue he certainly better than leake and prob waino at this point in his career but those guys getting paid big money. What I'd like to see (and think we prob will in sept) is weaver get spot starts at least and they skip wacha and waino a few times to keep them fresh. Next season I believe he will be a full time starter for us as no way Lynn stays. Of course they have Reyes coming back as well. Never a bad thing to have a surplus of quality pitchers but I'd definitely like to see weaver get some more chances this season.

You crazy Martinez stuff is far and away the best on the staff, and he gets jack shit for run support so I'd assume unders have hit decent amount in his games. He struggled in 1st innings last month but that nothing that won't get corrected. No gm in the league would take Lynn or waino over Carlos and it not even close.

Yeah, or I'm not a delusional homer. He's pitched out of the 6th inning twice in his last 10 starts, why do you think Vegas has this team at +2500 to win the national league.

Yeah, okay little buddy, by the way, have you ever noticed that Martinez seems to struggle at the end of the year almost every year. In fact he's often hurt at the end of the year. Maybe because his off speed pitches suck and he almost always wears down, which is one of several reasons why he never has been and never will be an ace. Look at the MLB teams that are contenders, Martinez isn't good enough to be an ace on a single one of them

Pay him no attention he clearly retarded. Martinez has a 2.80 career era in the months of sept and oct, clearly signs of a guy that is worn down at the end of the year!!

He says he doesn't have good offspeed pitches, clearly he has never seen him pitch. He has a plus changeup and a filthy slider..

As you said maybe Martinez fukked his boyfriend. Ultimately dude has proven time and again he doesn't know jack shit about baseball, that much is certain.
