“Coming from a background working in the Attorney General’s office I find it extremely exciting to determine how we can go after the bad boys and put pressure on them.
“We’re never going to eliminate them, but we can put pressure on them to make life a little more frustrating for them as the blatantly operate in the market today.”
I would love to see these "legal sportsbooks" flop and lose most of their customers to another competitor like offshore.

State regulators have zero power to regulate interstate commerce, the internet, or offshore websites. They can lobby the Feds to take action - that's it. The federal government really has no interest in stopping offshore gambling right now, what does Trump care about a couple states losing 20-30 million a year in revenue - most States aren't even online yet gambling apps.

    1. legalization in many states

    2. squares move to usa gambling where it is legal, bets have to be honored, bets have to be cashed out, no chance of folding, and did i say where it is LEGAL

    3. sharps stay offshore

    4. books mainly get sharp action offshore, resulting in many going under

    5. your money might be lost

Exactly, they can never pull every website down - the only way to crack down on offshore gambling is too stop the money flow. They can't do that with crypto currencies.

between Moroni hitting 95% in NFL every season and the feds... these off shore books don't stand a chance.

Until the juice gets close to Vegas standards, offshore has little to worry about.

When all 50 states have it then it will definitely take some business away and most of the small books will be gone but I always think the top big boys will be around forever with pretty good business

The only difference now is that there’s money to be made by cracking down.

    Correct

If they wanted to stop it completely, they could have, and would have, years ago.

Some states, probably several, will never have it.

They had no monetary reason to stop it years ago, now they do with razor thin margins and state to state competition

    Yes sir you are correct.

But as morino said above, it will take the Feds putting a stop to it, not the states, and so far they've shown no strong interest in it & likely never will no matter if states bring it up because it's already old news.
