    Regardless if he holds it in USD at the exchange, they're likely going to forward his info to IRS etc. once he converts from BTC to USD. From an earlier post, he wants to avoid that.

    I dont think its costing me money holding the BTC, I started getting the bulk of payouts when BTC was around 6k I believe. Its at 7 now. Long term i think BTC is only going up.

    had a friend have a crazy run during bowl season in the early 2010s. turned about 200 into 200k, quickly lost all of it except for the money he took out to pay for college tution (about 20k)
