    $20 Million for 15-5-2 average.

Plenty of European players that could give you that & more if given the opportunity.

To be clear, the second year is a TEAM OPTION. So it's really a one-year deal. In that light, whether it's 10 million or 20 million for the one year hardly matters. It's not like the Bulls need the extra cash in 2018 to sign someone else to be a contender. It's basically a tryout. If it doesn't work, they let him go, no hard no foul, and have big cap space to work elsewhere. There was no one else on the market better to take a shot on.

Most likely, it doesn't work. But it was not a bad sign.

Lavine was the much riskier sign as that was for 4 years (with only an injury out).

Not really. There is only about 5 european players in the nba that averaged that last year. Not as easy as it sounds. If you are capable of averaging that in the league you definitely getting the opportunity.

He avg 20ppg in 2016, when he was healthy. And he's only 23 and was the #2 pick in 2014. He may be damaged goods, time will tell, but on a one-year tryout deal, what the heck.

Worth the risk. Can cut him loose after one year. The guy WAS a lottery pick.

They were bad but I must admit they moved in the right direction and have had some good drafts lately. They seem to be heading in the right direction. Bad PR though so whether they will be able to add good FA's when they need it remains to be seen.
