From the first definition when googled:

    slow-roll

Verb(third-person singular simple present slow rolls, present participle slow rolling, simple past and past participle slow rolled)

    1. (poker slang) To make a long pause before calling and all-in bet with a strong, usually very strong hand.
    2. (poker slang) To make a long pause before revealing one's winning hand.

Notice it says nothing about intention to insult the other player. While of course it many times does include that, I don't think it has to. It's more about extending the time of a position of power.

For example, when looking at the definition I came across a story of a poker dealer slowrolling players at the table. In an all in with KK against 99 the dealer peeked at the turn card before turning it over, looked around, then revealed it making a set of 9s. He wasn't trying to insult anyone in particular, he just had all the power right then and was basking in it. That's definitely a slowroll IMO.

Not saying that Miles is a good guy, he’s an ass actually, but that was a slow roll

ecen if miles was to flip over and show him he had a K I think you you still have to call. That was a slow roll just because under no circumstance would he fold.

It’s a $3.8 MILLION DOLLAR jump. He could take 15 minutes before calling if he wants. Unless he had pocket kings there.

I’ve always considered a slow roll someone delaying it on purpose when they know they’re good or have the nuts

I don’t think he was doing anything except making 100% sure he should call given the circumstances

If you wanna call it a slow roll whatever...There was no ill intent which is what matters

That's exactly what a slow roll is

People get confused about this for some reason

It's one of those times you put a player on a certain hand K/Q, A/K for this. and you can't think clearly.

I watched all 10 hours live and at least 4 different times Cynn took time to talk (out loud) himself through big hands before folding or calling.
Not a slow roll, this was just another time he took time to talk himself through the hand.

clearly NOT a slowroll. Cynn was going through all the hands that could possibly beat him and was taking his time thinking it through.

If you actually watch the video, it's clear as day that Cynn is not sure he has the best hand.

After Cynn calls, the first thing the little weasel Miles says is "You slow rolled me"

If Miles did mutter that, then he's a little b!tch, plain and simple. Although it very, very small, there was a chance Miles had hid beat......and the way he kept raising, Cynn had to consider he had K5, and when your taking over 3 million dollar difference, I'm taking my time too.

Cynn's name will live forever, Miles will be forgotten before the end of the month.

another flawed dlow poll, that doesn't fairly present the issue....

by any objective standard, it took him a while to make what should have been a snap decision.....

but when you put into the mix 12 hrs straight of heads up, no sleep, and a $3.8 Million difference in payouts hangin' in the balance, he was just replaying the hand to be totally sure he was good.... even said he wasn't "slow rolling" the guy......

to me, that was a snap call....

yep, the pocket pair that could've boated him, ak, etc..... given that his slanted eyes were almost closed around 3.am, it's no surprise he was not all there mentally at 7 am cst

he figured he had him, but was making totally sure

as you said it was a 3.8 million dollar decision, he was going over everything in his head.

like this response, and why I voted no...,.

take a prick like waves, for example.... he is a slow-rolling piece of shit scam artist who INTENTIONALLY slo rolls just about every hand he gets involved with.....

I love it when his slorollin' stalls blow up in his f'n face.....

cynn was not intentionally carrying out the slo roll.....

In the alternative would he possibly have folded? He put 30% of his chips in there before that call...

I'll cut him slack for being tired, but that should gave been an auto call based on the fact he couldn't possibly fold financially nor in heads up is anyone folding trips when there is no made flush hand option at that time.

Hes tired, ok you get slack...but I think he just milked the camera time, he knew it all along.

waves, you fukkin' idiot, if you were miles and i was cynn, when u shoved like a f'n idiot i would have laffed out loud, announced call, and then grabbed you by the back of your head or by your saggy b cup flappy , bent you over the table, and proceeded to shove my k_ up your fukkin' ass, then I would have dragged your wimpy ass out the emergency door at the end of the hall passed the Amazon room, and beat the living shit out of you in the rio parking lot.....

Clear nit roll but I don’t blame Cynn at all. The way the hand played out a better king, a set or a flush draw was a real possibility and he spent 3 minutes figuring it out. He was obviously unsure so a slowroll is impossible.
