CNBC uses the term “fade” in a headline

I can’t remember seeing this before.

To "trade and fade" (or "tradin' and fadin'") is an old market makers term for business as usual. Fade means a market maker taking the other side of order flow. Sort of sad that people don't make markets anymore, it's all computers now. All the old trading lingo/lifestyle means nothing anymore.

There is an amazing book Reminiscences of a Stock Operator about the life of a trader (Jesse Livermore) from 1900-1930s ... while it's a good read with a shit-ton of interesting trading lingo its insight on the psychology of risk (and gambling, for that matter) is second to none in any book written since. It's still a heavy seller.

The speculator’s deadly enemies are: Ignorance, greed, fear and hope. All the statue books in the world and all the rule books on all the Exchanges of the earth cannot eliminate these from the human animal.

I mean, I like you Rudy, but you say mods should saloon my thread

    My post is for gamblers.

Gamblers who probably don’t care to see another “Bigtime Release”

    Well maybe for entertainment purposes

A couple more and we will be fading ticker symbol RDY.RTGR

Yeah guy poured his heart out and told about a tough time he was going thru a break up with his girl and felt more bad about leaving her son behind than her.

Showed he is actually a super super stand up guy.

Obviously you are a hamburger if you think I get financial advice from CNBC

    It is entertainment and news.

I never read the articles like the one I posted, the headline just caught my eye.
