They keep getting killed by set pieces and it's very easy for teams to make through runs against them. This is despite the fact they've only played crappy teams thus far. France has better players at every single position with the exception of Modric. Mandzukic won't be able to do much against France's back line and new player setup. Belgium has Hazard, Lukaku and De Bruyne and they couldn't even manage a single decent chance on net against France. What the hell are Croatia's far inferior attack going to do?

France is hitting on all cylinders right now. Their studs (griezman, kante) are showing in their primes, the solid players (giroud, lloris) are contributing and their up and comers (mbappe, pavard) are breaking through on the talent they have.

Croatia is talented but not near what france has got going on right now. Could be a close game all the way through despite the disparity.

Alot being said ab giroud and his scoring confidence and nothing said about how he keeps balls alive in and around the box in the 6 or finding and setting up teammates as good as anyone on the team. He's still contributing at a very high level and that's the bottom line

Griezman top 5 player in the world right now pushing top 3 and probably should get the golden ball trophy if france wins.

A scorer by nature, he's embracing other areas of the game in setting tempo, distributing and taking on the best players when defending so that others like mbappe can gain confidence through scoring opportunities. That's what leaders do to win and he's done exactly what they needed to excel. He could've just said eff it I'm gonna shoot away and probably netted 4 -6 goals but at the expense of the rapid confidence boost that mbappe is playing with at the moment.

Pace has caught them out (England game was noticeable) so Mbappe should have a field day but I thought they've looked good at the back. Set piece defense I thought had been good that Russian one can happen especially with the numbers they had forward for that and no ones keeping Trippiers screamer out, can't defend that.

Croatia will be the ones absorbing pressure and hitting on the counter shouldn't be anything like the Belgium game, they tore a terrible Argentina team to bits on the counter not expecting that obviously but they're a solid chance.

Everything you wrote I can't really fault but that's reflected in the line the French are heavy favorites to win this I just made a case for Croatia.
