Guess im gonna have to move on from Coinbase.

It's been a few months since I've withdrawn from them to my bank account but now this most recent one is taking several days and they have listed the completion time a week.

Its a shame that a same day bitcoin payout is the exception rather than the norm at 5dimes.

But its been unconfirmed for 2 hours now. is the fee too low? how can i tell? what can i do to expedite this process? I tried putting it in here https://pool.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ and it told me the fee is too low. any advice? anything i can do at this time?

bubba, did you send it to a wallet that you control? or was it to a site like coinbase

if its in a wallet you control, like blockchain wallet... simply grab a new address within that wallet or any other wallet you control....and send another transaction with the unconfirmed funds with a higher fee.... and this will get both transactions confirmed

you can google it, it is referred to as child pays for parent

Need to know the byte size of the TX and if it is a group send to know if the fee is ample or not.

And you do not control a localbitcoins wallet. They do.

    Transaction Fees: 0.0000026 BTC
    Transaction Size: 247 bytes
Fee rate: 1 satoshi per byte

Does that info help? Where would i get any of the other info you ask for?

    Thank you

That is low if a single tx send.

It should take a max of 5 hours with 1 sat/byte right now.

are you saying you expect 2 more hours I should get it? It has been 3 hours 20 minutes so far. I can live with 2 more hours.

Yeah, right now anything with more than zero fees is taking a max of 5 hours.

This site tells you about the current network status and optimum fee to use: https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/

Days I think. But it won't happen without zero fees or a catastrophic network error.

officially passed 5 hours with not 1 confirmation.

can i see the fee on the blockchain to make sure I quoted it correctly?(i took it from the blockonomics website googling my transaction)? If not, how can i see the exact fee they sent with my transaction? Did someone mess something up here, or is it just very bad luck with whats going on? thank you

no i am not. I am complaining about bitcoin as a currency.

Id complain that 5dimes attached too low of a fee to the payout but I dont understand bitcoin well enough to know if 5dimes did that/ if it is their fault or mine or someone elses or nobody.

Bubba... avoid this in the future by sending to a wallet you control... and dont require confirmations before you can send or access the BTC

That way when a book attaches a ridiculously low fee like 5dimes did... you can remedy it yourself

Just hit my account. 7+hours later.

What is a wallet I should be using? I am not great at tech but not the worst I guess either (if that helps)
