Dwane Casey wins Coach of the Year, Brad Stevens doesn't get a single vote

    http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/2...ach-year-award

Hilarious. The best coach in the NBA(by far) doesn't get a single vote but one of the worst chokers ever gets the award lol. A lot of jealousy among the coaches in the league.

On a side note, the 76ers are so f**ked tonight. Added motivation now for Stevens and the players.

I think he should be fired and Toronto should find another coach. It would be pretty funny if Toronto fires the coach of the year.

Surprised Stevens didn't get one vote, seems ludicrous .... Doesnt mean things will be better without Casey, I would lean towards not firing him despite the way it finished. I would rather take my chances tweaking the lineup than change the coach at this particular time

How do other coaches not give him a signal vote?

Blacks and Celtic hate....Casey is part of the "fraternity of ex NBA players turned coaches". Stevens is an outsider.

    1. like toler said it's for the regular season
    2. toronto won the east regular season, which should count for something
    3. it was voted on BY THE COACHES.. it is Not the media award
    4. if Lebron leaves the east then toronto is instantly a contender to actually win the east

if you are toronto you do Not do a damn thing right now. you wait until the free agency starts in july and you watch and wait to see where dominoes fall

If I were voting Id give it to who did the most with less and/or team from previous year that had downgrades and not upgrades unless they did exceptionally well and who had the biggest turnarounds. Raps lost Tucker, Carroll, and Ross, won 8 more games and the East, Boston upgraded some would say with Kyrie, he played 60 games, finished 2 games better than last year. Thats just argument between those two. actually Casey prob wouldnt even be my choice, Brett Brown had an incredible turnaround, Pop did a good job with Leonard out. Rockets upgraded with Paul, won 10 more games, D'antoni won it last year deservedly so. Lotta coaches I would have given it to probably before Casey, mainly to Brett Brown though.

This is NOT the official Coach of the Year Award, this is a separate award voted on by NBA coaches. The official award is voted on by the media and has not yet been announced.

Based on reg season, yes. Based on postseason you could consider Quin Snyder or Alvin Gentry. Snyder lost perhaps his best player in Hayward but still advanced out of the first round over OKC (who i threw 50 on to win the west LOL). Gentry lost Cousins but still swept the 3 seed portland

I know but I don’t like it. If teams/coaches both make the playoffs then the regular season shouldn’t matter. My opinion...MVP and rookie of the year same thing.
