Marco Fu vs Lyu Haotian
Fading the more experienced and decorated Hong Kong player Marco Fu here based on the fact that he hasn't played a competitive game in 4 months due to laser surgery to his eyes. Still being in recovery process.
Quote from most recent article:
Marco Fu
“I have not touched anything connected to snooker, watched any competition or read any snooker news during this period and now I really look forward to returning to the game,”
“My doctor has given me the green light to start playing again as the retinal degeneration problem seems to be rectified, although I still see a lot of floaters in my eyes.
“The results will not matter too much as I will try to enjoy playing again. I may still feel the pressure when the competition actually starts as the World Championship is the biggest tournament [in the world], but this should be one I could enjoy the most.”
Seems to me he is forcing his comeback. He is also a top 16 seeded player in the tournament meaning he will be guarenteed for prizemoney.
Last time these two met was in November 2017 when Haotian came on top.
If Haotian fails to win. I will look to fade Fu in the next round, depending on his performance and the odds.
