3-state online poker pool to debut May 1

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/natio...=.fe6f6a5515b3

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — Internet poker players in three states will be able to face off against each other starting May 1, in a long-awaited expansion of online gambling.
Two poker brands of Caesars Interactive Entertainment, WSOP.com and 888Poker.com, plan to go live on that date in New Jersey, Nevada and Delaware, the company told The Associated Press on Monday.
It would be the first joint play arrangement linking the three states that currently offer internet gambling. Pennsylvania is soon to offer online gambling, too, but is not party to the deal.

Caesars anticipates final regulatory approval from all three states, and has submitted its software for testing in all three jurisdictions.
The goal is to increase liquidity: The more people playing online at the same time, the larger the prize pools, and the more appealing the games are.
“This has been a huge collaborative effort from all involved and it is important to thank the elected leadership and regulatory authorities in Delaware, Nevada and New Jersey for their dedication and diligence to help move online poker forward,” said Bill Rini, WSOP.com’s head of online poker. “Everyone has had the end user in mind throughout this process, and as a result, we believe the United States, for the first time in a regulated environment, will have a large-scale multi-state offering that will propel the industry forward as soon as next month.”

Damn looks like PokerStars/Amaya is on the outside looking in here....this is still great news. I'll have to move most of my play over to WSOPNJ. Their interface really pales in comparison to Stars but i guess i'll just have to get over it

OK so here's hoping some big state legalizes online poker and joins the pools. California, New York or Illinois maybe? I mean they are blue states right?

Downloaded the new multi-state software yesterday.....Way more traffic and GTD tournaments running almost every half hour. WSOP freerolls and satellites running all day. WSOP & 888 are the only ones involved in the multi state liquidity pool. Stars and Party/borgata are not multi state as of yet.

I pre-registered early last week for the new transitions and was told my user name was no longer available on the WSOP client. I created a new screen name but that login is not working but my old one is and my bankroll transferred correctly. I hope this does not jam me up down the line with cashouts

When you get a chance to download the new client see if you can login with your old screen name....My new user id does not work but my old one does.

I'll be playing tournaments all night, will report back with traffic updates

There's 4 in my screen shot alone north of $10....Saturday and Sunday are the higher buy-in tournaments for obvious reasons. Not a bad slate for a wednesday imo

Pretty excited to play the $365 and $1000 WSOP events online in June. I'm not in Jersey but I'll definitely be playing those.
