Lonzo Ball Shot 45% From The Free Throw Line This Season!

Wilt Chamberlain had to toss it underhand and he still shot 58% his rookie season. Wilt somehow managed to put up 37ppg that season, not 10 like Lonzo.

Toss in your cards, Magic. There's no hope of winning this hand. No hope!

It's boggles my mind that someone can play professional basketball and not be able to shoot free throws. That is like one of the basic fundamentals of the sport next to dribbling.

    LaVar Ball promises checklist:

    1. Lonzo will be rookie of the year
    2. Lonzo will bring Lakers to the playoffs
    3. Lonzo is better than Magic Johnson
    4. Lonzo is better than MJ
    5. LaVar could beat MJ one on one

Can we check any off the list yet?

There are only so many hours in the day. How can he practice free throws when he's recording rap albums?

And how about the knee injuries? Someone should check to see what type of sneakers he's wearing.

    It really is shocking

How can an NBA player who isn't 7 ft or more go 32 for 71 at the FT line? Why weren't teams doing more hack a Lonzo?

Because they didn't have to worry about him making a jump shot either. They were actually hoping he would shoot the ball.

Hard to gage his true potential given all the circus acts around him from his personal life to the stigma of being a laker future franchise

And now with big name free agents almost guaranteed to join the lakers we will never know

His injuries won't be talked about but should raise concern given his playing style and lack of explosive athleticism

Yeah but you can't let him dribble around and take time off the clock if you're down is what I mean. Maybe teams did hack him and i missed it

The free throw shooting is pretty alarming, but I'm not ready to give up on him yet.

Luke Walton went out of his way to really talk him up yesterday.

Easy there, Samsquatch. It sounded like you were saying 3 and 4 would come true.

It's Friday the 13th, still daytime in Cali. I might just have myself a marguerita. Not a bad idea!

That's pretty crazy. Didn't Shaq even crack 50%? Can't have a PG shooting like that. Did teams hack him late in games?

He is right in between the Plumlee brothers for FT percentage

The majority of those below him for % shot no FTs the whole season

How is this even possible? I could understand a big man having issues and shooting in the 60's but a guard? I could shoot over 80% when I was 12 and I wasn't even a good jump shooter. It's just mechanics. I haven't touched a ball in a decade and could probably sink 70% after a little warm up

Watching tbe Sixers game, I heard commentator say Simmons shot 56% free throws this season. That's almost as bad as Lavar.

I kinda give the giants like shaq and ones before him a little pass, figure maybe it just awkward for them or something but honestly it just repetition and lot of these fukks just skate by on talent and never bother putting the work in. Guess they don't feel they get paid enough to bother working on their games, lol.

We all know shot the easiest thing to fix, it foolish to think kid can't play, the things he good at can't be taught. Rest just a matter of if he willing to put the work in, and on that subject I honestly don't have a clue what kind of kid he is? Is he a worker who wants to be great or just another asshole cashing checks off talent and won't get better??

Yep the ft % is crazy doesnt seem real. That type thing though I see as an anomaly. Ft line doesnt change He shot 67% in college which isnt good either but way better than 45%, shot 80% last year in high school. I think some of the shooting woes may be from added pressure resulting from the attention received because of his dad, I could be wrong though.
