    Purdue -4 in B1G Championship game

    The Boilermakers flipped the switch yesterday. I’ve felt all year long that they were the best team in the conference despite all the attention MSU was getting. Today is the culmination of a 3 year rebuild from bottom of the conference to conference champions (yes, I know they won the regular season title last year).

    I’m on Purdue -4 for 5 bills.

    What makes you say they flipped the switch yesterday? I saw a team considered a contender win a game they should win. Did something magical happen that I am not aware of? Need to know before I consider tailing this.

    On paper Purdue should win this game and cover. Purdue just makes me nervous when I watch them in any kind of tournament format, and Michigan thrives in the tourney. I'm staying away but gl.

    Yea they struggled against Rutgers and were trailing by 7 or so yesterday before taking over the game. Went on a pretty big run to put the game out of reach. If you were watching, you saw it.

    Yes, I saw that. I also saw how they finished the season. Beating up on a short handed Penn St team doesn't really get me as excited as you are now. Michigan seems to be playing as well as last year at this time but if you say so then I will jump on the bus.

    You can't even compare Michigan and Purdues paths to get to the finals. Beating Rutgers and Penn St nothing to get excited about. Pretty sure Rutgers is a sub 150 rpi team and Penn State isn't a bubble team at best.

    I don't disagree with that at all. You know how I feel about Purdue, soft as a roll of double padded charmin. But I am rolling with twiz here. He sees something I do not and I am intrigued.

    For some reason I think Purdue covers or loses straight up. Doubt Michigan loses another close one for the 3rd time to Purdue. If Michigan’s 3s don’t fall then the game may get away from them, if they do fall maybe they win outright. Find it hard to believe Mich wins back-to-back B1G tournaments even though I know they’d be independent results.
