I tip way too much when winning and close to 0 when losing.
Sometimes tipping changes the mojo of the table and gets the dealers involved and more excited about their monkey job

I hate playing poker at the casinos partly because of this. Already got the rake but then I feel required to tip after every winning hand.

When playing other casino games I tip when winning if they are being nice/cool. But I hate it when they are being fake nice looking for tips.

doesn't the rake go to the house and not in the dealers pool ??

Yes, but my point is if you are getting hit with a rake every time you win a hand and then tip on top of that, kinda hard to pull a profit.

I run away from the Asian dealers in the casinos.. It's a rule I have when playing black jack.. Nothing personal to the Asians either.. I just can't win when trying them on the tables...

    This is true.

And personally, it kind of pisses me off that multi million dollar businesses don't pay their staff a proper wage to start with.

But first time in Vegas it was weird how I became a tipping demon everywhere. Not a lot but often. Still it does feel a bit self defeating at a poker table with rake so tough to beat as it is.

Instead of giving a straight tip to the dealer at the craps table, I'll place a fire bet or hard ways bet for them on top of mine (much cheaper and they seem to like having action on the games also). Poker table, anything collected post flop I'll throw a tip, but uncalled pre-flop raises or pre-flop chop, no.

Yea, I do the same in Vegas. With all the comps they give me it's only fair. Plus, when you tip a lot at the tables the pit bosses usually give you a higher rating which leads to more comp. My last trip 2 months ago I won big the first night so I was playing big everywhere and tipping like a drunk sailor. Now I'm getting offers in the mail every day from numerous casinos.

Absolutely penetrating not. I play blackjack exclusively at the casino and no way I'm tipping the dealer in a game that I don't even have an edge in to start with (according to house rules). Ridiculous that this is a thing.

Normally, no, but there are exceptions.

I've been at the tables where a player wanted to do something stupid . . . hitting 12 against the dealer's 6. Instead of simply giving the player a card, he asked, "Are you sure?" Then other players chimed in that it probably wasn't the thing to do, but it was the dealer who said something first.

Video poker/ Keno and horses for over a grand-I tip a hundred.
Hit for 8k, once, tipped over a grand.

    Sports-0 tip(but I bet sides)
People I know that bet 5-20 bucks for 5+team parlays where they hit for hundreds/1k+- they throw them something

    Horses-win a little- tip a little

Craps-bet the yo for the dealer, and they seem to pay more attention to me than anyone else.
21- set the blackjack bonus money aside and bet that for the dealer

I'm usually the biggest tipper at the poker tables.
I never tip at the casino card tables; but I will put a bet out for them if I have some $1 chips.
I never tip for slot/video poker payouts.
    Always tip for drinks.

I don't like it but I do it. A $1 after every winning hand. Sometimes I regret it though, because it adds up or I bust out and wish I had the tip money.

Lets call this thread what it is: DUMB

Your title says...do you tip dealers (when you win?)

    yes
    no

    are the first two choices

later on you say...yes only when you win

    horrible

both mean the same damn thing
