    yes, john francona who was called tito and whose claim to fame was that the cleveland indians during a season in late 50's or early 60's was leading the league in batting but they wouldn't play him enough to get enough at bats to qualify for the batting title. he fell like 34 at bats shy with his .363 average. he had come up late in that season but they either platooned him or didn't like him in the field. he was forever bitter about that since there were enough games left to get him enough at bats but they wouldn't let him get them. his son terry was also sometimes called tito for some strange reason.
