    Jason Kidd fired.

    Giannis reportedly devastated.

Wonder where they think they are headed?

The Milwaukee Bucks have fired head coach Jason Kidd, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.Bucks assistant Joe Prunty will take over on an interim basis and will coach tonight against the Phoenix Suns, Wojnarowski adds.Kidd hadn't been informed of the decision, which meant he found out through the media, according to Chris Haynes of ESPN. Similarly, the news took Giannis Antetokounmpo by surprise as the franchise cornerstone was reportedly "devastated" by the news.Bucks brass evidently felt Kidd was underachieving with the talent available to him. Milwaukee had their moments this season, most notably in an exhilarating win over the Cleveland Cavaliers at home, but they sit in eighth heading into Monday.Kidd led the Bucks to a 139-152 record over four seasons after joining them following a successful stint in Brooklyn. Kidd was widely credited for the brilliant decision of encouraging Antetokounmpo to become a point guard. However, Kidd's out-of-the-box defensive schemes and shaky rotations had become a constant source of frustration for Bucks fans.

looks like news broke less than an hour ago... his wiki page is already updated lol

I don't know if coaching is his thing. Seems like the Bucks have plenty of talent and keep disappointing. I like Kidd... he was fun to watch back in the day with the Mavs

Real classy Bucks. Kidd found out through media.
That sounds like an organization I would want to work for.
Plus, lets face it....Milwaukee doesn`t have a lot to offer.

I think that works best when you have an "interim" coach that the players already know

Each situation different, from sounds of it their star wasn't real happy about it so not sure I'd trust a great effort.

In long run seems like right move tho, clearly they talented enough to be better than 8 seed in the east.

    Usually, yes.
When Rockettes fired McHale, they were big faves and had to win and not cover in OT.

If I recall Kidd did pretty well coaching the Nets... then fired the Nets tanked.

Maybe Kidd simply needs to find a new home. I would take him for the Bulls.

    LOL

Guards make great coaches... the bigs are too damn stupid. Scott Skiles - now there was a good coach - and a great highlight rell as a player. Similar to Kidd

Giannis is devastated because thats pretty much the only coach he's had. Obviously there's a bond there

Is Giannis REALLY devastated or only trying to play it off & maybe he/the star player once again said "Either that coach goes or i go".

    new arena, giannis/parker/bledsoe/middleton

name another organization with a winning record and that kind of talent that is looking for a head coach that would have more to offer

Mikey what is the local word? Did it seem like Kidd was on hot seat? This seems odd. Did he smack down his wife again?

I would tread carefully here, this isn't the typical firing where all the players can't stand the coach anymore

Kidd catered to giannis, upper mngmnt wanted him out. Not sure how it's going to impact the game tonight

Sorry Mike. Actually like some of the pieces in place.
Just don`t care too much for your fair city as a whole.
BUT, only spent a week or so there 20+ years ago, so maybe it has improved.
Do like Chicago to visit, so not an entire mid-west bias.

When D'antoni resigned from the knicks interim coach Mike Woodson had a good couple year run, could see a similar situation happening here with all the young talent on Buck's roster
