You're doing that enough for everyone. Someone give this guy his allowance back so he can quit bitching, man this thread, although kinda sad was pretty entertaining

Do you think this is the beginning of the end?

I don't. Next news event just as likely to send it shooting up as down. And too many key things coming up to keep it down for too long.

That said, selling out at 15k would have been a smart move obviously. But I doubt those that held have too much to worry about it in it reaching that number again this year. Would be surprised if it takes as long as 4 months and would not really be surprised if it happened within 4 weeks.

Easy for me to say without a holding or plans to buy though.

Support so far holding right around $10k. If that breaks, it can be real quick to $8k, which is the level where it really took off from around Thanksgiving. Seems like forever ago.

Looks like $10k support broken. Would not surprise me to see close to $8k within a day or two.

Trading is my career pal. Clerked on American Stock Exchange, then NYSE, then traded Nasdaq at bulge bracket firms... sell side largely dead, so now I have a decent job in selling compliance products. And I only have that because networking within the biz used to almost be as important as your ability to trade order flow.

In all my years the #1 lesson I can give is to not speculate. No hot stock tips, nothing like that. Boring products to diversify the portfolio or if you really want to live fast - tail BerkshireHathaway, but buy nothing that keeps you checking prices all day. Crypto is beyond speculation, it's madness. But it is fascinating and I am already working in a crypto project.

But you probably know what's going on more than me because your brother tells you what he reads on reddit.

Kraken, how much lower you think we going? Personally to stupid/stubborn/greedy to sell now. I know the second I sell that shit is immediately going back up and hitting a new high.

Your prediction could be halfway home and then some by lunch. All of these supports are arbitrary, really not based on much besides a natural psychological fit. This asset is on its own island in many respects. It can fall to a $1000 price level today and not really impact THAT much more besides the anxiety of whoever owns it.

My guess is that money will eventually step in at some point and buy the closest thing we can call "quality". BTC, ETH ... is there any much else?

Put a little over 1k in just to futz around with it. Regardless of what happens I've already got my $$$$ back many times over in entertainment value.

    Tron, to the Moon!!!!

may replace"Fake News" as the #1 derisive slogan*

*not making fun of people, one of the coins I own is Tron

Only thing that pisses me off is I had originally sold most of my holdings for a nice profit; then someone I knew asked if I could help get them some alts like Ripple, so I bought some BTC in anticipation of using it to buy the alts in which he'd pay me back once I got it. Next day I get the "On second thought, I changed my mind" message, and rather than selling the Bitcoin immediately, I decided to hold it for a bit. Now I'm down almost 30% on that Bitcoin I bought in the course of a week. Might as well hold it though. I didn't lose my ass, but it cut into what was originally a tidy profit.

Last week Telegram "leaked" a very slick white paper for TON, which is (was?) to be by far the biggest ICO. As of now, there's no change to the plan.

Is this what bubble-on-bubble looks like?

That's ridiculous and I regret helping to get my friends involved in crypto as well. Co-workers, friends, family, all ask me a million questions.
I bought TRON at 20c for a friend. It was only $200 worth but I'd never do it for anyone that I wasn't 100% sure I'd get the full amount. That $200 would be worth like $40 right now.

I disagree. I believe in blockchain bigtime.

Picture this market as a one big CDO.

BTC is a AAA bond, ETH can be AA. The next top 20-30 coins can make up junior tranches while the universe of altcoins can be the equity.

These equity shitcoins benefit last and lose first (see everything in the past 48 hours) but have the most upside by far. They always "throw the baby out with the bathwater" ... and my guess is that the 15000% opportunities are being recreated all over again, just gotta be andy dufrense crawling through a half mile of sewage tube to have a shot at it.

And as always, the market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent.

Sure, the BlockChain tech is amazing and it can be used for all sorts of things. That's not what my comment was referencing.
