Which American vintage muscle care would take and drive?

    Car not Care typo -

All perfect and absolute new condition, you were given one of these cars for free, which one would you take and why? I don't know how to poll the thread...

Yours to keep and drive not to resell. 1, 2, 3 or 4?

    1 - Chevelle SS

    2 - Shelby Mustang

    3 - Dodge Charger

    4 - Pontiac Firebird

I probably will take number two, on the Cadillac guy because it’s a sign of strength and power

    1) 67 GTO convertible
    2) 69 Boss 429
    3) 69 Chevelle SS convertible

    Firebird

Way better Mopar options than your pick.

Do like the tread though. If it gets some steam, we should get some great pics.

Owned a 2004 Pontiac GTO years ago (I know it's not a classic) but I had NEVER driven a car that fun in my life. It looked boring but it was a blast to drive. Had to get rid of it to purchase a family oriented car . Started driving in the 90's so I missed the golden age of muscle cars but after that GTO I always wanted to get a classic muscle car and I still plan to.

    RARE Buick GSX.

Rag Tops must have white or at worst tan interior.

I'd take the Mustang out of that lot. But a Shelby Cobra is the best US muscle car.

And is that a Charger or a Challenger?

That 68 firebird is pretty sweat, I had one.. The motor froze up on me... I also had Nova SS.. Pretty much the same rides power and drive wise but the Firebird looked cooler.. Wish I still had that car and fully restored it...

Mine was blue in color though.. I'd probably look to get a vintage Muscle car again if I had the garage space to put it in, I don't right now.. .

Challenger. Chargers of that body style ( 68-71) are dog butt ugly. 67 Chargers were sweet though.
The other car in Bullet was a Charger.

    #3 looks like a Challenger

Great car, but I'd take a '71 Hemi Cuda

    or a 1968 Dodge Charger

    Love this thread.

A kid in my HS had a cherry Hunter Green 68 GTO Judge. Ridiculous. He wasn`t a friend of mine, so I never got a ride.
One night at a party, for some inexplicable reason, he let another kid ( Chucky D.) take the car out.
Within 50 yards of pulling out, he wrapped it around a telephone pole and totaled her. Sad.

I've always had a thing for the GTO Judge.

My dad just finished up redoing his 1967 GT. He's had the car for over 40 years.

There's a few older Vet models that could be made to look really sweet too.. Very expensive today though...

NOTHING against the Chevelle. Gorgeous automobile. Just more around than some others I prefer.

I saw a show a few years ago about a club in Canada that all drove Detroit heavy metal. Made sense as Detroit is so close.

    German trash....just kidding.

But its like the guy who says...." I like Ferrari`s" No sheit.
I drove a 911 for a week in Texas. No turbo. Hard top.
I had a Toyota Supra that would have stayed right with it.

Most of those cars are too small inside for me. 6`2" /230.

I've driven the newer Porsche turbo's.. Pretty fast, but what I was impressed with as how well they handled.. Had a buddy that worked at a Porsche dealer he'd always come bye and pick me up and let me drive them.. The scary thing is though when cornering too hard the front end loses traction and not the back end because of the motor weight being in the back of the car.. Gets really dicey...

I'll never own a Porsche as I don't really fit in them either but the newer ones are more roomy I believe then the older ones.. Seats go way back..

I do kinda like the Porsche Cayenne GTS though.. Really nice sporty fun rides for an SUV... About the only Porsche I'd ever consider owning one day.. Really nice on the inside and very peppy..
