Bitcoin Now Up To $12,734 !!! My Investment Has Doubled !!! Should I Sell ???

Had $20k sitting in my underwear drawer for way too long (just in case of emergency whether apocalypse came, had to pay boyfriend's bail bond, or poker funds dried up)... anyways decided to throw it towards the volatility of BTC and bought in completely with it at $6k/BTC awhile ago. I knew BTC was volatile and wasn't too worried if it suddenly crashed and lost my $20k, it was a risk worth taking.

Bitcoin breaks above $12,000 for the first time

    • Bitcoin tops $12,000 Tuesday evening, ET, (Wednesday morning Asia-time), and quickly adds several hundred dollars to reach a record high of $12,798.78, according to CoinDesk.
    • The digital currency now has a market value of about $213 billion, more than twice that of Goldman Sachs.
    • Bitcoin has surged more than 1,200 percent this year.

Now it has gone on an upward spiral up to $12k+. Not sure if I should just cash out the profit at this point or "HODL"

    What do you guys think?

For one, Stephen Roach, Yale University senior fellow and the former Asia chairman and chief economist at investment bank Morgan Stanley, told CNBC on Tuesday that he was deeply skeptical of investing in bitcoin.
"This is a toxic concept for investors," said Roach, who has been described by Yale as one of Wall Street's most influential economists. "This is a dangerous speculative bubble by any shadow or stretch of the imagination."
"I've never seen a chart of a security where the price really has a vertical pattern to it. And bitcoin is the most vertical of any pattern I've ever seen in my career," he added.

    My thoughts:

Can we treat BTC as an asset? Is it speculative and on the verge of a bubble anytime soon?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Now it wil drop a little obv but it's a bump in the road its on the rise there talking about in 10 years Bitcoin owning between 1-10% of the Forex market which would put 1 coin between 100,000 & a Miliion per coin.

JMO but you do what a smart stock trader would do, you at least take your original investment out on any double .Then you have nothing to lose, if it keeps going up great if it starts tanking get out with some of your profits either way it’s a win good luck

    Later

Don't sell; BTC could be the wave of future as Amazon was in 2000. It's going to at least 50k and probably 100k.

I don’t think she really wants advise, seems to me she just trying to be passive-aggressive and just showing off.

My only suggestion is do not leave it on Coinbase. I trust in bitcoin but not as much in coinbase. If coinbase crashes tonight you’re fukked.

The guys in the other crypto thread told me about movin bitcoin from coinbase account to paper wallet. Basically, your money could be safe on a usb drive and/or piece of paper, stored in a fireproof safe as you would your cash.

Good point. Who in their right mind leaves coins in Coinbase?

The OP's post must be FAKE NEWS.
