    Sam Presti Getting Exposed

This guy is praised like he's one of the best GMs in sports. OKC has great scouts and they drafted Wesbrook and Harden earlier than most teams, everyone would have taken Durant at #2 the year they got him.

This guy traded Harden he got zero. He trades a Ibaka, who can shoot and guard the 1-4, and replaces him with Adams who can't shoot or guard anyone on the perimeter - gives Adams 25 million a year. He trades for Kanter who can't guard anyone and gives him 20 million. He trades for Oladipo and gives him 20 million even though he's a role player on a shitty Orlando team in the watered down Eastern Conference. He traded for Kendrick Perkins, a very slow player, on a team that runs the floor.

Look at OKC's lineup.2 guys who can't shoot, Adams and Roberson, very easy to double team and fill the paint against Westbrook, Melo, and George. All you have to do is put shooters who defend on the floor with these guys. Lol, guy is a big part reason Durant left.

Long way to go here. He keeps team relevant every year. No other team would have lost Durant ( an all time player) and still be this competitive. Presti is very good at what he does. Sure he made some mistakes. Who doesn't? OKC is struggling right now for sure but it takes time to put these players together. They will be in the mix at the end. As for harden I don't like him one bit. He showed in the NBA finals he wilts under the spotlight and did last year again vs the Spurs. I don't want that type of player on my team.

Harden was horrible in the finals, but he was very young and I think judging him by that series against a very good defensive team is tough. I think OKC could still be good, but not with this roster, you can't have 2 guys who can't shoot on the floor in the west.

Some good points but a little subjective

Okc had to trade harden bc they weren't going to pay him the following yr and he would've just walked. They had just paid westbrook so they didn't have the money

Not true OKC offered Harden a 4 year deal.

I think OKC can turn their season around - but not with this roster. You can't have 2 guys who can't shoot on the floor at the same time in the West and you can't play Adams and Mello on the floor at the same time when neither can guard on the perimeter.

masai ujiri is the most overrated GM in the league. Unreal the attention he got over the summer ...for what? A middle of the pack team with a so-so star?

I like Vanvleet. The rest of the bench leaves a lot to be desired.

He doesn't know what to do now. They're not going to get high draft picks. They're out of cap space. He just has to sit on his hands and hope JV improves and DeRozan learns to hit a fukin 3pt shot.

Vanvleet went undrafted a few years back, but that's not a big deal when you consider I.Thomas lasted until #60.

The window closed anyways. Boston and Philly will own the east very soon. Bucks might be decent. Wizards window is closing faster then it opened.

dont sleep on the bucks... if they can get a third piece Preferably a stretch 4 to dominate the post with Giannis and Middleton... they've got the right coach.

For a new team in a small market, I think Presti has done a pretty good job keeping them competitive. Let’s be real about the nba landscape right now, two teams are relevant and the rest don’t matter. Thunder are no worse off than every other team minus gs and cle

Are you kidding,, the reason the NBA is just 2 teams is because since Presti fuked up the roster and forced Durant to leave.

    Are you kidding me?

The NBA was already a 2-team league before KD left OKC

GSW and Cleveland had already met in the finals the previous two years before GSW got KD. If KD had stayed in OKC, GS would have beat them again in the WCF because GS without KD is better than OKC with KD, don't believe me look at the 2016 WCF.

Presti has done as good a job as anyone in the league other than Steve Kerr and Lebron James.

Lol, dude you are making the points for me. Presti didn't do his job, so OKC's roster around Durant and Westbrook wasn't good enough to compete. OKC had chances to win the 2016 conference finals only because Curry was nowhere near 100%. OKC with the right roster could have beaten Golden State. If Durant had not gone to Golden State and taken less money the Warriors would have given a max deal to Barnes and that would have hurt their ability to sign Igoudala as well.

Durant was good friends with Ibaka and he didn't like him getting traded - signaled the franchise was headed in a direction he didn't like. Westbrook was the scapegoat as usual, but Durant had many reasons for leaving.

Toronto is a regular season team. Every year in the postseason when teams prepare for 1 team for 2 weeks they take away Derozoean and his isolation style of play. The bench sucks other than Miles.

He made OKC a top four team in the NBA and got them to the Finals.

He also had them up 3-1 against GSW. KD just couldn’t hold a 10 point lead in the final 6 minutes of game six. That isn’t on Presti.

Durant had everything he needed to win OKC but it was never going to happen. Durant isn’t an alpha. Durant needed to goto a Super team to be “comfortable”. He couldn’t be “the man”.

It became more obvious when KD spent all last year trying to convince everyone he was comfortable with his decision.

Then we learned he had fake twitter accounts he used to defend himself against teenagers and twitter trolls.

This dude is a momma’s boy. He was never going to win in OKC regardless of what Presti did.

Actually, they've played twice this year and Minny is about 1 point better than OKC

What league to you play in where you can score 1/10th of a point?

You can't judge how good a team is just by how they play 1 team in the NBA. Minnesota is clearly much better than OKC right now, better coached, better chemistry and deeper.

Really not that tough to get to the conference finals with 2 of the top 5 players in the NBA. He couldn't put a roster around them, they were up 3-1 on Golden State because Curry was hurt.

Again, OKC with KD was not in the same league as GS, just the facts

Presti did a helluva a job for OKC and is trying again. He wiffed with Melo but atleast he's still pulling the trigger and making that podunk market relevant.

Probably not 4 gms in the league better

Lol, dude he traded a top 5 player and got zero. He thought Kendrick Perkins could play on an up tempo team. He gave Adams 25 million. He's horrible - OKC has great scouts, they took Westbrook early and Harden when others passed on him, his trades and free agent signings have been garbage. Who the fuk tought Oladipo was worth 20 million a year.
