So is Paco - tried to figure out his record for him out of curiousity and boredom today but made it to April 6 and took a break. So many plays across 3 sports and units flying around everywhere that it was making my head spin.
The nice thing out of all of this is to see people making money. That's the most important thing. Even better that it's not at a poker table where we're taking money from each other. The only people getting killed are the books and that's how it should be!

I'd like to be condsidered for this award as well. I have a thread in the baseball forum called testing out a system which is doing well. record to date is 38-16-2 on posted plays. the thread is +32 units this month. I'll also add that pretty much all the plays are to win 1 or 2 units, I've had one play that was to win 4 units. Although I don't handicap the games so i may not qualify.Comment -

Mind games for sure. Lakers is the play. They won game 1 and game 2 and should have won game 3. Kobe threw game 4 on purpose to spite Jackson/Artest for calling him selfish. I don't care what anyone says I know for a fact Kobe through that game. He NEVER goes 15 minutes to start a game without a shot especially when his team is down double digits and I watched that game and he passed up on TONS of shots in that 1st quarter.

The Lakers have now figured out OKC. They got Kobe on Westbrook now and Artest knows Durants ever move. Gasol and Bynum dominated last game and that will definitely continue. If Lamar Odom plays well this game 6 could very well be a blowout. I personally think it goes down to the last two minutes and the defending champs show why they are the defending champs. The Thunder will choke late as this is their first close out game. OKC is suppose to win since they are at home and that pressure will bee too much for them to handle in a game 6 with their season on the line. Look for Harden, Ibaka, and Green to all play below their standards.
Home court advantage is going to be OKC's only hope and that won't be enough against the Lakeshow. I think of game 6 last year where Denver had the sickest home court advantage I had seen in a while. Lakers went there game 6 and ended it.
Lakers opened up at +2 and dropped to +1.5 and now +1 everywhere. I won't be surprised to see them at -2 come game time.
All three refs favor the Lakers in this game. Ken Mauer is the fifth best ref in the NBA for road teams with a 38-28 ATS for road teams. Bill Kennedy is 40-35 for road teams ATS and is the 20th best ref for roadies. Greg Willard is the 19th best ref for road teams and he is the 19th best ref for road teams ATS. So we have three refs in the top 20 that favor road teams with one of them being in the top 5.

Just reupping this from the first page with all of the other threads I made before my playoff picks thread. Something to think about, I give write-ups on every single play I make in the NBA.Hopefully this makes it a bit easier for you JJGOLD. I know there are a ton of handicappers you have to go through and look at.

I was just going to post the exact same thing. JJ, this isn't like your POTM contest. It's obvious this is a matter of pride to some people, which is awesome. But my suggestion would be that if you're going to continue it, and want any sort of legitimacy about it (one can always dream right?) then you need to come up with some guidelines ie overall units, games played, percentages, something.
Considering you don't venture into the subforums, best tout in the thread shouldn't cut it.

Why is that so unreal? I know if I win the handicapper of the month for April that I will be raking in money from my book. It's not easy to even be in the same conversation of a lot of the handicappers on this website for HOTM.
As for me not posting my units, give me a break. Everybody knows on here that I would be up a ridiculous amount of units. It's not like I won all the little plays and lost my big ones. It was the exact opposite I hit my game of the year and O/U of the year and wrote that I put 15 units on both those.
