    Sure it was offensive but I would chalk it up as shit that happens in sports. I played basketball for years and was even the only white guy in one of my leagues. Holy shit the stuff that was said to me but I never once got offended just made me play better. Once you play better you get respect.

    I guess I'm older than these guys today but once you were on the court everything was fair game. Then we would all go drink beers after and shoot the shit.

    I saw after the game he explained he apologized but they also said it was a sign of respect because he has always had a tough time facing Japanese pitchers. I guess he played in an Asian league or something earlier in his career.
