    Casinos Rate/Club Card & Sportsbooks

Can you use your club/rate card from a casino when laying wagers on sports bets at their in house book?

If you wager through the app some Casinos like MGM will give you points

I dont think MGMs gives any(points) for sports wagers, from what I was told when I was going to register a account.
I know Station casinos do and Caesars group does.
William hill has a very small cash back system.
Not sure about others, but I heard most others dont, besides drink tickets.

Yes, but houses are different. Ask them at the counter if they take the card before you place the bet.

There's usually not a lot of reward from the book when compared to other areas of the house. I never used to give my card at the book. I placed bets for years at Harrah's without any mention of a card, then more recently they asked if you have card at the time of the bet.

Since the house edge is so small, you need to bet a lot and be a continual loser for them to want to comp anything for sports bettors. In any case, you used to be able to use your card at the Palms sportsbook for points. Not sure if that's changed. It's different owners now so I wouldn't be surprised.

Golden Nugget will. Your first time you make a wager you have to have them put you in the system. Then going forward, you just swipe your card before making your bets.

When I was in Vegas 6 months ago a MGM sportsbook teller told me you did. Never used the app though so not 100% sure.

Ceasars gives you 2 cents on the dollar as "credit" on you TR card.

I was there in April/ May betting hockey and wagered over $30,000 over a 7 day span (cleared $8k in profit) and still needed to spend cash at the tabkes to maintain middle teir platinum status.

Thou if you play nickle slots for 2 hours a day they'll give you the deed to the house.

Almost better strategy to just dump $250 into a dollar game each day and just hope you win it back. The comps alone from that will pay for itself.

Nice. I think I will prefer downtown over the strip.

What would be a typical monthly room rate downtown. Say at The D?

I want to live there temporarily. See what it's like for a few months. Stay at a hotel downtown.

Loved The Plaza. Right across from the end of Freemont. Easy parking. Big rooms. And small enough that the staff actually remember your name and treat you like a VIP for 50 bucks a night (inc resort fee). Unlike the strip where you are just one of the crowd.

Those are exactly the reasons I want to stay downtown.

Get to know the hotel employees and such. Plus the mob museum is close by.

Stayed downtown on my last trip and it was so much better than the strip. The only thing I didn't like about downtown were the small sportsbooks with little seating.

I stayed at the Nugget but played at all the downtown casinos. Now I'm getting mail everyday offering free rooms and bonuses. I just wonder what the mail man must think of me. Everyday I get 3 to 5 casino flyers.

Anyways, I'm heading back next month and I have free rooms and free plays at every casino downtown. I will be making stops at each one picking up my freebies.
