    NFL ratings new low

Monday night's game barely notched a 7.0 rating, making a nearly 20% drop from 2 weeks ago.

This is even w the much hyped Star Wars trailer.

....it was a good game too

I love football but there was no way I was going to watch 2 shitty teams play after a weekend of games. Vikes and Bears are both bad teams with no shot at winning SB.

I think you’re being naive if You really believe people aren’t watching the games due to publicity stunts. I would say, are you going to turn on the VP and POTUS because of their publicity stunt yesterday at the Colts game? Didn’t think so.

Orrrr you’re being dishonest knowing that it’s not the so called publicity stunts responsible for the low ratings but that the ratings have dropping for a while, dating back to last year and MNF had two shit teams with a bunch of no names in small markets and no marketability

Oh Boy...Kracken comes out of surgery leading with a haymaker.

*Chicago no mini-market: but yeah...A bad match-up on its face.
(Game was actually okay if you disregard the flags.)

Well it was a crap matchup to feature on prime time. Both teams are bad. Then next week we might see 2 backup QBs playing again with Titans vs Colts.

Latest poll has NFL favorables dropped by over 30 percentage points and also took over top spot as least liked sport now. This is what happens when you get hijacked and used by fringe activists to promote their agenda on your time.

Events like the kneeling take time to produce quantifiable effects. A question I would ask is.. Is the average viewer likely to be more satisfied or less satisfied after viewing...question 2.. Is the average non viewer more or less likely to start watching after hearing about kneeling.

I just don't see how kneeling and broadcasting/discussing kneeling, could have a positive effect on viewer numbers, which directly affects the bottom line. Not in this country, at this moment.

^ It puts a bad taste in my mouth as I would like to see sports as way to get away from the bullshit...so even if you are not on one side or the other on this issue, you can still walk away less satisfied...this is what the nfl execs should be looking at...and I'm sure they are begging to see whats going on....

yes ratings were on the decline anyway... but people don't really want to go to church sunday morning and be preached to... then come home and watch football where they're preached to some more

What is much more important than the ratings is the revenues being lost by the NFL. Now who do you think is going to pay for that in the long run? Not the owners. That is for sure. There are too many easy ways they can cut the players throats. Simply letting go of as many players who'se contracts expire as they can is one way of doing it.
