**anyone know why kraken wires get "failure"?

tried wiring to 4 separate accounts over the past week, at multiple banks

name matched on all of them

sometimes it would be "pending" for a while, other times right away to failure

emails to support have so far gone unanswered

finding easy ways to cash out bitcoin is about as difficult as w.u/**

    first circle stops doing it
then coinbase randomly locks me out of my account
now kraken won't let me withdraw funds (no options other than bank wires which won't work)

at the very least these places should have phone contact numbers, or options for international checks/money orders/etc... even if i had to pay $100 to get a check

Shit is a pain in the ass. I gave up trying. None of these places respond.

    same with coinbase

emailed them multiple times over a month ago, got no responses

how hard is it to just hire some customer service people? laziest people in the world that process 5 checks/day, and they would still be way ahead with the fees they could charge

Find a local BTC ATM and get cash money. Very easy process. If your w/d is above the machines limit call the phone number on the side and you should be able to schedule a time that they will have enough in there and some of the better operators will even negotiate a lower fee.

Using this site https://coinatmradar.com/bitcoin-atm-near-me/ I see 0 machines in your state. Sorry mike that sucks.

I live in an area with hundreds so the fees are very competitive but if you found one in your area they will probably be crazy high

looks very similar to coinbase and kraken in that they only allow wire transfers out, and don't have a phone number to call?

tired of getting registered at all these sites, sending them tons of info, only to have my balance sit there unable to get it out

i will look into that bitpay card

what are the fees like... usual transaction would be cashing out 3k, total coinbase fee on that (receiving/selling btc/transferring usd to bank) is around 60 if value of btc stays the same through confirmations

From my understanding, you can withdraw to a viza/master https://cex.io/fee-schedule#/tab/payments

I can't use them because they don't operate in my state, but just throwing it out there for ya.

I couldn't find out if they took my state until I tried verification and got the warning after I entered my address.

    Circle just stopped selling Bitcoin.

You can still cashout through them if you can locate an old address you have used to deposit there before with.

Do a test with a small amount to make sure nothing has changed (but pretty sure it wont have)

Dont bother asking CS to confirm. Most of them dont know about this from reports. Just test it and see if the funds end up there ready to withdraw.

And at a guess, if all wire attempts fail at kraken right now, then they have a connectivity issue I'd say.

    Try later.

    ah ha

this just may be it... Kraken does not receive or send via ACH (almost 100% sure) like Gemini/coinbase do

believe that is what you are trying to do ??

The massive problem with all these bitcoin exchanges and wallets there’s no customer service and takes way too long to respond

I’m still trying to figure it all out why they’re so discrete and you can’t get in contact with them

Yes, agree Droopy! It is smaller chunks but it gets done fast. I would throw the money in the garbage before I would try a wire. Getting to be bitcoin in and it has to be bitcoin - we are stuck getting small money out and I think that is exactly what the books want.
