Big game for the Hokies. They haven't been under the national spotlight like this in a long time. Blacksburg can get pretty loud especially for a night game.

VA Tech has replaced the QB Evans with dual-threat quarterback Joshua Jackson this year and he's done a really nice job. By the end of the year last season, the Hokies were a formidable squad and they appear to have carried that strong play into this season.

Clemson's defense is great as we all know and they've returned a good amount of playmakers on offense despite losing Watson and Mike Williams. But this is going to be a real test. Virginia Tech can pull off the upset here.

3 units on the spread. 1 unit on the moneyline.

I love clemson, think they get back to the national championship, but this is a great spot for tech.

    8 points is too many.

Was just asking a question. It seems every time Clemson has played a team that is ranked you have been on the other team.

Lol what? I took them against Louisville. Took auburn against them before that. So two games so far and once I bet on them.

    Not to mention this...

Sorta true I suppose. They were overdue for a coaching change though. I think Fuente has brought back some swagger to the program to at least make them viable again.

I would love to see Hokies win but it is going to be tough for them to score enough points against that defense.

Honestly it's a little weird that you would even have any idea if I was on or against them prior to this game.

Anyway you obviously have nothing to bring to the table here so move along sport.

What intent? I thought you were on Ville, I said that earlier, hence the are you fading Clemson. Not that tough to figure out because, like earlier said I know you posted the Auburn game in PT. I had no intent but what the question was. If you want to read a bunch of bullshit into it and make it a big thing than fine go right ahead.

Just so there is no hard feelings here is my take on the game. Like I said before, it would be great to see the upset. However, this isn't OD, WV, or the other garbage Jackson has looked decent against. This defense is 100% legit again. Jackson and VT haven't seen anything compared to what they will see Saturday. You know Clemson will stuff the rush and they probably won't even need much extra help. They will make Jackson earn it passing and not sure he is good enough. IMO an upset is going to take Clemson to be flat. We still can't even be sure VT defense is even that good because they haven't proven anything yet with the schedule they have played. One thing we do know is Clemson hasn't missed many steps from last year. Good luck, I really hope VT wins this but I can see this getting bad for them even at home.

The Clemson D is crazy good even better than recent seasons good, so hard to pick a team they'll play all season that will score on them. That said I'm not sold on the offense? That QB getting a bunch of hype but has he really done that much? Makes first downs on his feet which is a huge bonus but somehow stop that and Hokies are a huge chance.

Auburn had his measure they just got worn down. In saying all that I can't fade legit defenses in college but I'd like to think that +8 is in play right till the end.

He did enough to help route Ville and beat Auburn, two teams that offensively are light years ahead of VT. You don't need a star at QB, look at Alabama, they both have mediocre QB play. You don't need a Heisman at QB when you have a defense that can hold everyone they play to nothing and score on defense. Teams have won NFL championships like that.

Virginia Tech won a game against West Virginia that could have went either way and then had Old Dominion, East Carolina, and Delaware the last three weeks. Not saying it can't happen, but they get tenfold the amount of talent they've faced this season. I still don't know if Virginia Tech is that good or not. We'll see Saturday night.

Honestly only seen VT when they played WV and thought they were okay, can they score? Not sure, probably not much! Beating 'Ville and putting up that many is solid but they don't have a d (do VT? Again not sure). Like you said the Clemson defense is something else the speed in which they shut down plays is incredible, can't run around them, can't run through them and they get through to the qb to force anything thrown down field.

I'm not betting it but will watch it, hopefully it's close. If I had to I'd take Clemson to be honest.

Too many people inhere take the biggest losing wager in Vegas. That is the home dog. Home dogs fail to cover more than any other straight wager, and it is not even close. The reason why the vast majority of people lose in here is because they are AFRAID to give points. They are also afraid to lose. I am not wagering on this game, but if the line slides to 7 or less, Clemson is the play.

You are just repeating a completely and verifiably untrue cliche. According to KillerSports' data, home dogs are 3780-3784-121 since 1980. No general rule that insanely broad ("home dogs") will ever give a statistically significant trend.
