OKC gives up Kanter, McDermott, and a 2 round draft pick.

horrific trade for knicks, what a joke of a franchise. 2 role players at best and a 2nd round pick. Unreal. So angry.

I'm indifferent about Melo as a Knicks fan. but they could have gotten so much more from him. Maybe not if that's what they settled on for him, but still....awful trade

Anthony already ruined Knicks like he did Denver

    Teams never recover either

So really there is only 1 NBA star left in the East, and a bunch of 'also played'.

Why even have a Eastern Conference. 35 wins might get you home court 1st round

Dolan ruined the Knicks more than Melo did.
It was Dolan who had to have Anthony, he thought he Anthony was going to be the man that would put NY over the top and draw sellout crowds, even though the Garden sells out with any shitty Knick team.

Melo just wanted to win in NY, front office never really gave him much of a cast.
Anthony was never a problem child.

Anthony’s a ball hog and very selfish player and had a losing personality

Sam Presti is easily the best gm in the NBA. He has done everything in his power to put a great team on the court every year.

Well, he's a shooting forward, that's what he is, he's not a power forward but he still got you 7 rebounds a game while scoring 25.
He's not a power forward, he's 6'8" but classified as a small (shooting forward)
That's what he did his one year a Syracuse (got that school a ring by the way) he was the Syracuse scorer, (call him what you want, ball hog, selfish, chucker, whatever) but that's what he did his freshman year there, scored 20 a game and grab 10 boards. He was MVP in that NCAA tournament, single handed croaked Kansas.

Denver knew what they were getting when they drafted him, a shooting forward that grabbed his share of rebounds.

You say he has a losing attitude, I never saw that, he wanted to win in NY, and for the record, I'm not really an Anthony fan, I hate Syracuse, like I said, he's a shooter, always has been, always will be, he doesn't dish like Chris Paul, because he's not a point guard, and he doesn't rebound like Draymon Green or Anthony Davis, because he's not a power forward, he's a small (shooting) forward, and he was really good at being a SF up until 2 years ago, now he's getting old.

I feel the same. Just hoping Kanter has a great year so he opts out of his contract after this season.

No chance. This is a great deal for Melo and McDermott will score for them off the bench and Kanter will feast in the East. KP, Kanter, Hernangomez solid bigs for the Knicks now. At the very least it will be an exciting team but they may only get the 8 seed if they are lucky.
