I'm really just messing around, but this guy was older and used to do it intentionally to mislead people. My wife (UCR Alum) and I always thought it was funny. I just used to tell people I went to UC Santa Barbara and that was the end of it. As far as the game, the stacking forecast, the sharpest I have for NCAAF, has Stanford winning this game with 35 or 38 points to UCLA's 24.
The non predictive public gauge is close with Stanford winning 35-23.
The spread has moved away from the forecast since the early open and the Total is right on it.
The public likes UCLA, perhaps enough to move the line and word is getting out with them.
Personally, I would be careful with a UCLA bet at this stage.
These state schools just cant' get it done.
