Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard is still running the show in the Pacific Northwest even in the absence of current San Antonio Spurs big man LaMarcus Aldridge. While Aldridge previously — and infamously — left Lillard and Portland in favor of the Spurs, the veteran point guard recently said that he would never join forces with other superstars in order to win a NBA title.
“I mean, like I said about [LaMarcus Aldridge], I wouldn’t have done it,” said Lillard, via Complex. “For me, I’m not joining nobody.”
Like ever?
“Like I said, I’m not joining nobody. I would not win a championship before I go and team up and do all that. Unless it was like something that I couldn’t control. But I [wouldn’t have] did that.”
“I’m saying this because this is how I feel, not how I feel at the moment,” the seasoned signal caller continued. “That’s just how I feel about it. I think if that’s what somebody wants to do, I’m not mad at them for doing it. I’m just telling you what I’m not going to do.That ain’t how we get down.”
